hi' after install of the latest update (660), I have a kinda problem, the launcher does not launch... it turns to a simple white screen! I have tried; reinstall the lite version, check permissions for files, all is fine! even tried to set the rfactor.exe in compatibility with win xp, didn't work better... I thought, it might be a dependance, so tried to update vcredist(x86), tried with other compents, and each time, win says another file up to date present, so I gave up! I'm done, don't know where to search... before re-install everything, anyone would have a solution? thanks
well, tried the core config as I said I'll do, but no success... I then took off all plugins, and there is a kinda progress, now the screen is all black, but still no success at all... stuck with a non-working RF2
so many answer to help, I'm dazzled... anyway, when I read all complaints about rf2, I doubt that it will be ready one day! it's so long, and now, asking for subscription... hell, why did I rush to buy this "game".... useless to say that I'm very disappointed.
Try a fresh install. You can have more than one install of rF2 on your harddisk. Just use different folder names for Core and Data. If the new install is working you can copy the content (packages) and user files to the new location. If this doesn't help there is maybe a problem with the activation files. Press "win-key + R", enter "%appdata%", go to the folder ".rFactor" and delete the "rFactor.credentials" file. Run the rF2 launcher. The Launcher should ask you now to enter username and password.
