    Hi all,

I think this is quite an old problem but just sitting in pit box or pit lane or even if I let go of my wheel on straight in starts violently wobbling left to right and I haven't done anything.

Any ideas what this may be or how to change it?

    Cheers,

    Nick

once the track is loaded and your in the car, go to settings and turn down FFB multiplier If it is currently 1.0 turn down to .8 or until it quits oscillating. That may help
(if your in the car and do that - that sets that to the particular car you are driving at the time. you might even turn smoothing down to about 4)

    Right OK will try it.
Currently FFB is set to 1.0
    Smoothing 30

    Will drop it down.

In your controller's ini file, lower this value:

Mine was too high, I had to lower it til 0.11 from the above value. See and find what works for your wheel.

In the new JSON file it's already set to:

    "Steering torque minimum":0,

Will this need to be done for every car on every circuit?
I've been having similar issues since the upgrade.
It's just a violent tug left or right when you select RACE. It also randomly pulls right or left on straights for no known reason.
The FFB is also extremely heavy despite using a 45% overall setting in TM panel.
The other thing that's happening is you'll go through a turn and it feels as if the wheel is fighting your inputs to return to center.
The rear end will just over-rotate and hit the barrier.
The one thing I've never experienced since the start of RF2's introduction is FFB control issues...this is all new.
I'm at a complete loss to tell what the car is doing now.
I tried a few races online yesterday and had to quit after less than a lap....in both.
It's weird...because the rumble strips and other sections still exhibit the same great feel.

One guy had a good point in another thread, make sure you don't have any driving aids turned on, steering help or whatever those aids are called.

I never run any aids except auto clutch for paddle shifting.
It's very strange because no setup changes were made before of after the update.
It just feels strange not having the previous ability to know what the car is doing at all times.
I'm sure I'll get it sorted. It's just weird to have it happen all by itself.

All the other changes have been a positive step forward.
I know this is just a temporary setback.
I can go race something else in the mean time until it's sorted.

Sounds like your FFB got reversed some how. (it causes wheel to strongly pull from one side to the other)

Maybe you should redo the process of detecting your wheel inside game and rebuild your wheel setup (I mention this because first time I did fresh install of B770, I kept my original controller files, things only worked when I just kept Packages folder in place when I freshly installed B770 lite.

Thanks Jim, I tried that to no avail.
Has anybody in the ISI team put out profiles which are wheel specific?
If so, I could try one of those to see how the control inputs compare.
I cannot find any changes mentioned in the readme file for 770 which would cause the issue.
I did notice better traction on grassy surfaces with this build, so I'm not saying 100% nothing changed.
    I just can't find any.
