I would like to know your favorite tracks according to the "layout criteria" and possibly "track physics" .

Excluding mainly the criterion of graphics quality and visual quality.

Of course, a good track is a whole, but for me the primary element is what is related to driving and challenge, above all.

If you add the criterion "graphic quality", you exclude countless good tracks, and you will include some tracks very beautiful graphically but not necessarily very interesting for driving.

So quality of layout + quality of track physics ;)

Oulton Park (no chicane -historic layout)
    Virginia
    Interlagos
    Bathurst
Watkins Glen (boot no chicane) (1961-1970 would be a masterpiece but we haven't on rF2 :( )
    Rouen Historic
    Osterreichring Historic
    Road Atlanta
    Saltzburgring
Mid Ohio (poor road mesh on rf2)
    Brands Hatch
    Spa
    Autopolis

    would be great:
    Riverside (WIP https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/riverside-international-raceway.54963/ )
    Mont Tremblant Historic (WIP https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/circuit-mont-tremblant.38399/#post-875416)

-Oulton Park (Freaking love this track. Have to be one of my all time favs due to layout, vistas over the track, high speed, elevation changes)
    -Road Atlanta
    -Donnington GP
    -Matsusaka
    -Cadwell Park
    -Adelaide
-Sebring (One of the flat tracks i enjoy along with Silverstone)
    -Silverstone
    -Belgium old school (old Spa)
    -Monaco old school

So many, but just off the top of my head. I love faster tracks with technical higher speed corners and elevation change (throw some slow corner in there for diversity of course). Most boring to me is modern flat stop and go tracks with a million 90 degree corners, slow chicanes and hairpins. Adelaide is on the edge but it has redeeming qualities that make it fun, lol. :D

Oregon International Raceway with a slower car, like Clio Cup or Formula Ford

Otherwise, I like the tracks that flow:
    Road Atlanta
    Oulton Park historic no chicane
    Mid Ohio
    Brands Hatch
    Kyalami
    Mosport
    Mid America Raceway
    Mid America Motorplex
    Bridgehampton
    Brainerd

    Bathurst
Sonoma Raceway double blind negative camber corners anyone? combined with rf2 physics is really challenging then the long left hand turn leading to the drag strip destroys ur fornt right tire (2014 indycar, Q tire can get down to ~ 80% in just the entry lap), 3 very nice layouts deserves a laser scanned version imo and lidar data from the location already exists but still tracks differ a bit from title to title i really hope rf2 puts things in order with a high detail official version
Spa 66 with same era cars , green track for less grip, unbeatable
Road Atlanta also because it looks great
    Suzuka
    Laguna Seca
Monaco any era , love city circuits in general and pretty challenging with 70s F1
    Nordschleife
    Donington Park (modern)
    Silverstone '91 & modern
Spa 88 tall curbs, grass is ice maybe -> something to improve? hehe
    Imola modern layout
Mills Metro Park outer loop B i think curbs in this track are very slippery in general
Adelaide both modern and 88 mod which has realistically reduced grip and the tall curbs of that era
Eastern Creek Gardner & Brabham layouts with ow and tall-ish curbs that when u touch u lose time
    Mexico 88
    Watkins Glen
    Interlagos
    Croft with F2
Altanta MP the "wrong" Atlanta when combined with Indycar but very challenging
    70s F1 with modern tracks

OW & curbs give a twitchy behaviour, theres specific places in each track where u must drive over in order to go fast so interesting physics for me is in cases u can go curb riding like in Ascari S in Monza with less steering and letting the curb pull you in.

Spielberg is a "go to" for fun and for a nice location both modern & historic (have been working on it)

fun/interesting layouts i also consider tres millas & gotham hills but need dx11 rework and some love in general, for the versions uploaded at least

Thousands of laps using a dozen games throughout the years, I can almost drive it with my eyes closed.

    GT4 is my preferred class.

Autopolis - Interesting corner mix and elevation changes
Oran Park - similar challenge to Autopolis to get a fast lap
Bathurst - setup for fast straights or the twisty bits?
Brianza 10K in historic cars - that banking!
Toban - sprint layout is my test track
