    Yes it is problematic on feels3 half to begin with, but it would not make you any less criminal either :D

    Guys I am now lost what are we discussing copyright for like anyone really cares that is something for the elite to worry about fat guys in suites not us we are at the bottom of the pyramid no one really cares what we do they have nothing to take us to cort for not as if we own the international bank and are selling horse meet to every one this is a computer game.

    And my NASCAR will be illegal then as it has burger king all over it.Or I could change it to burger sting or horse burger.

    I know the guy who ripped Oulton Park from iracing and put it into netkar. iracing threatened him with lawyers. lol.

    Anyways... enough insulting. Its a matter of definition.

    Lets call it "illegal by the definition of the racing sim community". It is unwanted behavior by the ones who work to build something and bring the results of this work into the use of fellow gamers for free, and so it should be unwanted behavior by the rest of us, who use/want to use this content for free.
    They are converting, even when creating from "scracth", reallife content into virtual form, and as the copyright rules state; this is not illegal by law, till you start making money out of it. It is using copyrighted material for your own personal financial gain, and thats a no no.
    What makes things copyrighted material? Well thats not up to us. What is up to us is to make sure that we shun those who exploit others work for their own personal gain. If you are not the sentimental kind who would do the shunning from the most noble reason possible, atleast from the more selfish kind and to keep these people who bring the content to us, from shying away from their work/hobby because of these "thieves" and to keep them bringing us more great content in the future.

    That's not true.

    Textures and models are my own, and no matter do I have the license or not, you can't use my models and textures without permission.

    @ Golanv. I agree with you. What's morally wrong may not be illegal.


    @John. Looks good! Although something looks a bit off with the tires. I can't describe as I'm not good with that sort of thing.

    ye i no and the windshield its miles off yet but it needs testing before i spend another year on the rest of the cars.

    it has a dr pepper logo also they can sue me for my pc and a empty bank account lol

    Let's do a comparsion.
    Making a virtual track and making a photo.

    I can go to UK and make a photo of Croft and I can share this photo with community- and I don't need a license if I don't sell this photo - and you can't use this photo without permission.

    It works the same for mods - I can do a Croft and I can share this track for free without a license* - but models and textures are my and they can't be used without permission.

    *Unless Croft's management decides to block my track like Porsche did that with one mod for rf1 few months ago.

    If someone rips a track without permission it's still "sharing", and as you say, it's allowed. I don't want to be rude but like I said, you're just not getting it.
