And check whether you can find a named pipe with name rf2weather...9, something like this. Access to named pipes must be allowed on your system, but I could not tell you at the Moment how to forbid/allow them..

Thanks for the info. I tried a few things and even checked for any additional ports that rF2 dedicated may be listening.
To be honest I haven't a clue what I've done to resolve it, but at least when it was working I can see the plugin in the named pipe list now.
Also, the Auto Save feature now works too! So double bonus.
Better now leave it and not fiddle in case I break it.

I have same ChalkyWIS' problem but I can't solve...

CustomPlugins set 9 and the plugin 9 too... Says connection timeout (DarkSky and OWM)

Pipelist don't appears the plugin listed...

Since I changed the server from W Server 2012 to W Server 2016 the plugin not works..

Any ideia?
 
I don't know.. I verify this in Server PC..

SOLVED! It was vcredist 140! Thanks @lagg for info (and the plugin creator!) :)

PS: Have you an information about track temperature? If there's some feature (or other plugin) about this...

no change - applying data skipped means that the weather is the same than 3 minutes before and the plugin doesn't have to change anything in the rF2 server.
It's ok.
The plugin will change the weather in the rF2 server, when the weather changes

I try to install the plugin and it seem to works, but not.

I copied the .dll to my bin64\plugin and rfactor recognize it, the server is connect but in the game i don't see the rain

I can't connect to my rf2 dedi server everything is setup as it should but he will not connect.
What dit i do wrong?

Check if rf2WeatherPlugin.dll is in ...\rFactor 2\Bin64\Plugins\ and launch rF2
Check if appears a section called rf2WeatherPlugin.dll in ...\rFactor 2\UserData\player\CustomPluginVariables.json
If the section doesn't exist, install the vc140 redist, launch again rF2 and check if appears the section in CustomPluginVariables.json.
 
Hey guys any chance some one can point me in the direction of getting an api key please really appreciate it alot.

Also and im sorry beforehand for my dumb question. Setting location iv read its done with longitude an latitude i assume this will have to be manually enterd for each track location.?? Told you its a dumb question lol.
 
I dont understand it i have followed everything down to the last letter and its still not working

Have a dedi server on windows 8.1
And its litraly just got rf2 on it.
(I dont play from this pc)

I have the rf2weather.dll in rf2 bin64/plugins
I have my api key iv made a new mod just incase it was my other mod and its still not working.
Vc140 redist is up to date as i saw above i made sure it was. Iv loaded rf2 and closed checked the custompluginvariables and nothing shows up what am i missing. In the rf2weather plugin download there is also 2 other files ionic.Zilb.dll and rf2GeoData do they need to go somewere.

Im sure its a simple thing iv over looked but my mind is now a blank please help..
 
Ohhh yeah i got it working lol for some reason i had to uninstall the runtimes and reinstall and it was up thank god for that.. Just one question how often does the weather update is it seconds or ?? Does it change mid game so if it starts raining in the location i use will it start in game.????? Sorry if they seem dumb questions pretty new to this lol..
 
I'm glad it's working.
The plugin makes a call to the weather provider every 3 min and if the weather changes, it's applied to the server at this moment.

Ahh cool is there a way to increase the time. Or is 3 minz all you can do..???
