VRC is pleased to announce the VRC GT3 Series. We will be using the very popular APEX Mod Drivers will pick a vehicle from the mod at registration. The driver will then use that car for the remainder of the series. Drivers may change cars during the series, but will incur a significant points penalty during the first race with the new car. Races will be held on Sundays Race weekend starts at 1635 GMT Race should start as near as possible to 1800 GMT 60 minute Practice 15 Minute Qual 5 Minute Warmup 30 Minute Race This series will consist of 10 races. The schedule is as follows: Pre-Season: Jan 8 - Adelaide Jan 15 - BRNO Points Races: Jan 22 - Essington Jan 29 - Zandvoort Feb 5 - Oschersleben Feb 12 - Brands Hatch Feb 19 - Palm Beach Road Course B Feb 26 - Red Bull Ring Mar 5 - Sachsenring Mar 12 - Sebring Races are 30 minute sprints followed by a 20 minute reversed order grid race. No mandatory pit stops. Please sign up for the series so we have an idea of how many to expect for the races. All honorable and fair racers to be sure. However, I KNOW there are others out there who are looking for a fun group to race with. The base of VRC are a great group of guys who engage with each other outside of rF2 as well as on track. This means that if you are looking for a social group who are active throughout the week on the forums and Whatsapp (our main source of yuks and poking at each other) look no further. You can engage as much or as little as you like. But the more you engage the better Sundays feel. VRC is more than a group that gets together once a week to do laps around a track. It feels more like a great group of old friends that can laugh at themselves and each other. After reading the above don't think we dont take our time on track seriously. We do. And Sundays are the pinnacle of our week long preparations. We help each other with hints about the track and how to approach the various corners, the setup gurus are more than willing to share their sets for the race and to teach how the setup effects the cars handling. All you need is ask. We welcome racers of all experience and skills. We have first year racers to stupid fast aliens. There are people who are of similar ability to you and you will spar with them on track. We only ask a modicum of practice and familiarity with the track so as to avoid unpleasant and unnecessary crashes. The upcoming GT3 Series is promising to be a boat load of fun and we are very excited to get as many people in on the action as possible. To anyone who now has online and would like a change from racing AI, I encourage you to join. Friendly banter and competition and good mix of talent. Races are only a half hour long so time commitment is minimal. Apex GT3 mod is available in Steam workshop or just join the server. Not passworded during the week, so stop by and have some fun.
