The VRC 2018 Fall Mixed-Class Series VRC is proud to announce the VRC 2018 Mixed-Class Summer Series. The series will use the Studio 397 Endurance Pack. Included classes will be GTE and LMP2. This can be purchased here: https://store.steampowered.com/itemstore/365960/detail/1004/ This series will consist of 2 Pre-Season Races and 10 Points races. 8 out of 10 races will count towards points so you can have couple off weeks if life surprises. Each event will get a separate event thread at VRC business events board. Race Weekend will start at 1635 GMT on Sundays. Practice of 60 minutes. Qual of 15 minutes. Races will be 45 minutes in length with the exception of one 60 minute race (Sebring) and one 2.4 hour race (Le Mans). Each driver is required to perform a mandatory pit stop, taking on a minimum of 2 tires. The driver may choose when this pit stop happens. Penalty stops do not count as a pit stop. Allowed assists will be Auto Clutch only. VRC Rules and regualtions will be enforced. Rules are subject to change at the discretion of VRC Administration. However, it is highly recommended that all members subscribe to the content in the workshop. In order to ensure the safe and consistent racing our members have come to expect, registration for the series will be mandatory. Please announce your intent to race in this series and which vehicle you will be driving in this post. You will then be considered "registered" for the series. You need only register once for the entire series. Registrants are encouraged to use their real name. We race against people, not their online personas. On the race server real names are enforced, but since Steam does not mandate real names be used it is difficult to enforce the use of a real name on the server in all cases. The first pre-season race has been run and it went off without too many issues. Everyone had a good time. One more Pre-season race to get everyone up to speed and then off to the points series. We held our final race of the series this day and, despite a smaller than usual turnout, everyone had a great time. I would like to thank the participants of the series for attending and helping to make this series a success. I would also like to thank the VRC administration team for all their hard work in bringing this series to life. The series class winners will be announced once the final tabulations have been completed. They will be posted here at that time. Besides the accolades and respect of their racing peers the winners will also have the opportunity to chose the first and second races of the next points series. I look forward to seeing what they come up with. Please keep an eye on our website/forums for more information on our next series, to be started in Mid December. We will be returning to Studio 397's excellent and highly regarded GT3 mod. This will be a single class series and should offer a very competitive grid. As always, Hope to see you all on track.
