In the March 4th update of "Release-Candidate", the UI border where a faint black line is displayed during a game in VR mode has been fixed. I commend the S397 team for this. But another issue in VR mode hasn't been fixed yet. After the new UI, the graphic settings are not remembered correctly in VR mode. For example, I'm using a desktop monitor with a resolution of 2560x1080, and in desktop mode the graphics settings are memorized normally, but in VR mode even if I turn on the "widescreen UI", it turns off when I restart. The Vsync setting is also always reset to OFF. They are always a little annoying. I look forward to the next fix for the S397 team, which is now part of Motorsport Games.
if you are still seeing the black line, you probably are using the default UI, to see the fix for the border, you have to be using the release candidate version.
When I played in VR today, the "GPU" mode, which was the smoothest in Vsync mode, disappeared. I expected the "Software" and "Video" modes to be improved, but they were still jerky. Why? Is it ready for improvement? Is S397 going to respect VR? I can't trust them as they are.
Removed GPU V-Sync option from Graphics Configuration settings https://www.studio-397.com/2021/03/roadmap-update-march-2021/
Thank you MileSeven. Why did they remove it? "GPU" mode was the smoothest in my VR environment, and "Software" and "Video" modes are still problematic. If removing the "GPU" mode is the future direction, we need a smoother alternative.
I've tried various current Vsync modes in VR again, but none of them are as smooth as the previous "GPU" mode. Every time I get jerky in the corner, I feel sick. Setting the game's Vsync to "None" and using Nvidia's various Vsync modes is also not smooth. With the current ‘release-candidate’ build, I can't enjoy VR play like I used to.
Regarding the mouse cursor, in my case, the widescreen UI is not loaded on the 21: 9 monitor + VR when the game starts, so the mouse cursor disappears at the left and right edges of the 16: 9 VR screen. When I turn on the widescreen UI, it goes 21: 9 and the mouse cursor is completely visible, but when I restart the game, the widescreen UI turns off again. (Problem that graphic settings are not remembered in VR)
By itself, I can't advise - possible issue? Otherwise, try pressing Delete on your keyboard - it toggles the pointer.
man I feel so stupid - is it a new feature? I have delete bound to toggle desktop in VR, that explains it ... haha!
The situation is a little different from my case, but it seems to be due to the same cause. The new UI doesn't seem to support VR correctly.
