But at the same time, you can drive a GT3 without TC or ABS.

    That's another argument I don't get.

GT3 is ok but not my thing! And if there is this electronics in the vehicle I use it too! Otherwise the others are at an advantage. I want a challenge with equal conditions! And the hottest is the good old H gear shift with Heel and Toe! This is still real craft :).

For sure! As I said I have fun with everything. But the greatest joy is actually the oldies.

If you want to drive classics go use Assetto Corsa, we don't need them here :D rF2 is progress. Can't wait to simulate autonomous cars.

    Ah ok.
Because YOU do not need it, does not the rest of the world need it? Ok, I understood. Thanks for that statement. This "I" related statement is very very progress mate...

I absolutely dislike classics and street cars, modern racing cars rules. I don't even know why you even care about them in rF2 when there are endless options in Aseettoo Curve. Who are even interested to do that awful much of steering, tap dancing pedals and juggling gear lever when the LaP TiMes aRe sO MuCH slOWeR, it is sO slOw I geT bEtTer SeNSe oF SpEEd whEn I aM laYiNG on mY bacK anD looK strAiGHt uP in BlUE blue skY ! Because rFactor2 is the measure of things in the Sim range. As far as physics FFB and the driving experience are concerned.

I agree but I agree with all types of cars and progress is good. More so in real life but in the sim world anything is possible. I can do stupid things that would get me killed in real life. That's why I like street cars and older cars of any kind. Try to drive something my elders have driven.

Sims are not real enough for me yet. Most cars are fun to rally drive in real life but out right boring in a sim because there isn't enough reality/danger. This is the problem with some of the newer/safer race cars for me. Especially the E cars.

in the simulator there is never danger, nor fear, in any, if you crash, you get up and go for a beer and then you continue:);)

If you realisticly simulate street cars, you will get:
    - lower grip due to street tires (have you tried the Skip Barber Regional/National ?)
    - brakes overheating
    - low downforce
    - less reliable parts
    - more damage from light shocks.

What I mean is, people turn their noses up at how GT3s have traction control or ABS thinking they’re for drivers that can’t drive. Turn them off if having them bothers you that much.

I think that those TC/ABS things are proofs of the viciousness of those cars in anger. I think it is false argument that TC/ABS are happy aids for the "rich amateur drivers" because they are too rich to also have at least some car control skills, and that GT3 cars are so incredibly expensive that they somehow bends physics laws. Most of them rich guys would probably be glad to pay more for a more epic challenge, and wouldn't mind damaging cars as much as less rich drivers would. In my mind if in simulation it does feel comfortable with those cars at low TC/ABS values, then the simulation is not realistic enough. Spinning wheels without traction control should be mental:

It's a safety thing, as well. The last thing you, as a team owner, want is your gentleman racer seeing three DPIs/LMP2s coming up behind him, panicking, getting too hard on the power, spinning out and wrecking Roger Penske's very expensive car as well as two others AND yours.

But a year or so ago I did a hotlap contest in AC with the 2005 Renault mod. I came third using traction control. The two guys ahead of me used it. If it makes me go faster, I'm using it. I'm not going to turn it off to go slower and protect my ego.

I always have them off when hotlapping. GT3 is just extremely boring to drive. One of the most boring class in motor-sport....
