VM LiveView Lite for rFactor & rFactor2

Hi xoa,

the "inc.mysqli.conn.php" should remain untouched!

The user credentials for the php scripts to able to access the db is located in the "inc.config.php".

If your loader works, align the mysql access credentials from the loader config with the mysql access credentials within the "inc.config.php".

EDIT: And don't forget to modify the config entry $siteURL = "http://your-domain.com/vmliveview"; to your site accordingly ... !!!

Like usual it is always hard to make thorough predictions in those cases ;) ... but I guess somewhat around Wednesday this week ... !?!?

Struggling to get this to work :(

Pretty sure it's because I don't know where to place the files?
I use wamp as my server.

Seem to have loaded database ok.
Getting confused as to which folder to place into wamp?

inside folder apache/htdocs is folder vmliveview which looks like the one I need in wamp?
I've altered my httpd-vhosts.conf accordingly.
added to windows host file.
The mysql folder/files is confusing me?
Where do they go?
Do I need to alter them?

Also this line...
<xmlURL>file://Your-rFactor-Root-Directory/VMHotlaps/CurrentScoring.xml</xmlURL>
Should it look like this....
<xmlURL>file://C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor2/VMHotlaps/CurrentScoring.xml</xmlURL>
Notice the //\\ orientation.

I'm placing all files on server.
Where does folder rFactorSL go?

The session loader doesn't seem to find my server which may mean I'm not editing rFactorSL.exe.xml correctly?

Any help appreciated :)
I'll keep trying though.

PUT IN FOLDERS XAMPP:

htdocs (in apache or any other Apache as an example)
conf (in apache or any other Apache as an example)

Where does rFactorSL folder go?
Anywhere you want, usually if you want more vmliveview1 rfactor servers, vmliveview2 etcetc, better in the first directory vmliveview ...

The mysql folder / files that confuses me?

If you have problems installing database, create file named vmliveview01 Mysql manually, then insert mysql files

<xmlURL>file://C:/Program Files (x86)/rFactor2/VMHotlaps/CurrentScoring.xml</xmlURL>

An URL String has to be formed accoarding to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Resource_Locator and this http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_urlencode.asp

The rFactor Session Loader folder can be in any place e.g.:

C:\Games\rFactor Session Loader\rFactor2\Server Instance 01\MySql.Data.dll
C:\Games\rFactor Session Loader\rFactor2\Server Instance 01\rFactorSL.exe
C:\Games\rFactor Session Loader\rFactor2\Server Instance 01\rFactorSL.exe.xml


If WAMP is up an running and the vmliveview folder resides in the htdocs folder you can use the setup.php to setup the database:

Don't think I have a mysql user?
Got a phpmyadmin user.

Error connecting to database:(access denied for user 'liveview'@'localhost' using password:yes)

No wait,success,it was some weird password thing???

Now lets see if I can get it working.......
