I have just purchased the game on Steam last week. Performed my first and only install including whatever cars and tracks. So this is an absolutely clean and current install. NO additional; downloads/plugins applied
I get 3/4 of the way in loading a track and then get
Visual C++ Runtime Error : This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way

I saw a fix that related to deinstalling and removing a license file and then reinstall .
Also a suggestion to remove all plugins. But neither of these is applicable to me

    Im running win 7 Professional 32bit SP1 4Gb RAM

32bit, that's the problem right there. You'll have to reduce the amount of cars if you want to run it

ok dumb questioin as Im a complete newb
I've chosen my car and am loading the track . I can see on the loading screen that I can have a max of 30 cars. But I havent chosen how many cars I actually want. I assume I set that before entering the track from the garage ?

Have you tried decreasing the graphics settings?
