Season 6 in sight The former rF2LN is already entering its sixth season in 2023 and is thus also starting for the third time under the umbrella of Virtual Racing e. V.. The next season of the Nordschleife long-distance championship, now established as VRrF2LN, is already in sight. In the last two seasons, numerous points in and around the series have been successfully further developed, but also tried out and sometimes turned back. It is now time to offer more constant framework conditions. So we can expect 8 hopefully exciting races again this year; as usual from the VRrF2LN and the NLS with a duration of 4 and 6 hours. The rating system, which is fundamentally based on the 2021 NLS, remains unchanged. The available vehicle classes from the previous season are also retained. Of course, it is not entirely without adjustments. After the BoP of the GT3 vehicles worked very well from the 2022 24-hour race from an administrative point of view, the BoP of the SP3T class now follows. Furthermore, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will be replaced in the Cup2 class by its successor, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), and the Alpine A110 will have another playmate in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Finally, minimal rule adjustments were made, which, however, should clearly benefit the participants. More information on the upcoming VRrF2LN season will be announced on the forums in due course. Qualifying begins on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and the race at 12:00 p.m. with a manual formation lap on the Nordschleife. Each team has the option to split the race time with several drivers or one driver takes on the challenge alone. The VRrF2LN is driven in a grid consisting of a maximum of 50 team vehicles and is divided into 6 classes, each with 15 team starting places. The first 15 registrations per class receive regular team places (ST) and are eligible to start if the maximum number of teams (50) has not yet been reached. All other registrations per class are substitute team places (ET). These are intended to fill up the grid in the event of free starting places. Prerequisites for starting authorization, to be fulfilled by the first race: • The VR entry fee must be paid for the registered team, not per driver. The respective team boss* is responsible for the payment. This must be at least one VR half-year flat rate in 2023. (*The "team boss" is usually driver 1 of the team. In large teams with sub-teams, the same person may not be the "team boss" in all sub-teams, ie each registered vehicle requires a different team boss (contribution payer)). • A skin created using the template linked below must have been submitted.
