Thank you ! ! +100 Chris. This is exactly what happend in my case. With the update you created I can use this track (and the track is really really good done). Many many thanks for that to you chris and also to the creator 32_pixels
Great, thanks for removing them! If 32_Pixels or any members never say anything again, it wouldn't have made a difference. This is more of a stance. Going back to Virtua_LM's Sebring as an example, had the "community" patch been named something else, it wouldn't have caused as much confusion. The point is, this is not 32_Pixels' work and thus we do not have the right to name it as we please. Naming it something other than v1.1 would respect the author, #1, and would show the update is community-driven. Another point is, if 32_Pixels were to update this, hypothetically, they could improve it on a whole different level or bring in new artwork or features. Their level of quality is their level of quality and who are we to deem this 1.1? This update is only happening due to passion over a quality piece of work we love. There is no argument from me against this update to fix original issues, none whatsoever, as a few folks have gone great lengths to contact the authors. It's just a matter of maintaining a very respectful approach to the folks who made it. The same argument goes to the Toyota Celica GTO.
Great. Solves all problems. Wonderful work that now allows this track to be used and enjoyed by all who wish to race offline.
It is being worked on by Jürgen and it will actually be morphed into the 1987 car, not the original 1986.
The Celica GTO also gets an overwork by Juergen-BY. The related thread can be found HERE How do you get access to this thread ^^
@redapg Buddy you freaking knocked it outta the park with the new AI, man [emoji2][emoji106] GREAT job...and THANKS!!!!!!!!!
Revisiting this beauty, I was wonder if more updates could be made? Especifically 2 points: 1) Change the wall colors to something closer to white. The original is too much like the asphalt and the two blend too much. 2) Make this corner (T6 if you count each corner of S as 1) smoother. As it stands, you can't stay tucked in the inside because of the polygons. In other parts of the track we have smoother walls: View attachment 18550
Just an opinion, Gui, but real-life barriers aren't curved. They're short sections of straight wall, usually about 2 meters long, so I would think any correct solution will be polygonal in nature and rarely are they perfectly aligned on a temporary circuit.
I know that and agree but: 1) Notice the texturing on the barriers doesn't follow when they break into a turn 2) It is possible to set a concrete barrier with a smooth shape, like a semi-permanent fixture 3) A couple of other parts of the track have a less pointy transition Glad you don't disagree on the color situation .
Couple more things. I spotted this issue with the barrier in the last corner: View attachment 18551 Also, if there is ever an update, I took the liberty of taking screenshots that could be used as the loading screen: View attachment 18553 View attachment 18555 View attachment 18554
I don't plan to create another update. My claim was to improve the AI behaviour and to add some things that are needed for a track, like cornerworkers and pitlights and -lines. And i removed the 2 ugly oil(?)-patches. So my work is done.
I'm pretty sure I saw a big "oil patch" on a wall somewhere the other day. I'll have another look and see if I can find out where it was.
I only removed the "oil"-patches on the road-surface, because they were really ugly. If i remember right, one in the pitlane and the other after the first corner.
