[REL] Update for Lester, originally created by 32_Pixels

    Coming from this thread: Celica-gto-IMSA + semi-fictional-track , where you can also get the original Track Version 1.0,

    i opened this new thread, to get a better overview and make it easier to notice if/when new downloads are available.

    There have been some complaints about the AI behaviour of the original track and because of that, i now try to create an improved version.

    Download-Links will always be posted only in this first post.

    Any Feedback is wanted and welcome. I will try to do my best to take everything into account.

    Update V 1.10: lester_community_update_v110

    Notice: To be able to install this final Update, you have to uninstall (and i would suggest to also delete them) the former Updates 1.01-1.03.

    New:
    -Complete new AIW
    -Pitlights and -lines to better see where you enter/leave the pitlane and when it's red light, to avoid penalties.
    - added 8 Cornerworkers to make also Yellow-Flag work

    Thanks very much for this. I'm kind of confused though. Unless I misunderstood you, you said you need each version successively but then you also said you can just download the correct version. Those sound contradicting tobeachother. Am I misunderstanding?

    Sorry Spinelli, i fear i don't understand that.

    Where did i say "you can just download the correct version"?

    Did i phrase something in a misunderstandable way?

    I wrote that the Download always contains all current update files, which means that you now get the 1.01 and the 1.02 together, if you download the ZIP file.

    It's a very clever way of avoiding confusion, instead of having to download multiple single update files.

    Oops my mistake, I thought you meant first we have to install (for example) v1.0, then install v1.1, then install v1.2. Got it :)

    Chris I was stung by a wasp yesterday in my right middle finger and now my right hand is "two times larger" as normal (of course not really but it looks like) :p.
    Because of this it's impossible to drive my laps with the 1.02 update and report back my feedback. I hope tomorrow it's better.

    No Spinelli, you are not wrong.
    You of course need to have the V 1.0 (Original Track) installed.
    And then you have to install my Update 1.01 and then the Update 1.02 and so on, as long as it is WIP.
    The final Version will be 1.1, i guess, then.

    ...but not all the time. I guess, this could be the missunderstanding. If you have installed v1.0 and v.1.01, the next Download include v.1.01 and v.1.02, but you have then to install v. 1.2., only. As you have v1.1. allready installed.

    Some feed back. Ran a 10 lap race with 45 AI in a combination Fiat Abarth 500/695/695AC, ISI Clio & Corsa Cup cars. The AI behaviour at 50% aggression was overall quite good with only 2 areas that may need some adjustment.

    1] Approaching the T1 fast left hander they were over aggressive with their blocking move, they just move too far to the left and effectively move out of the way as opposed to block a passing move.

    2] Second last corner, a fast left sweep, the AI all brake. This consistently cost them around 2 seconds a lap in comparison to me. It made for a very easy passing spot.

    I'm still really impressed with this track overall, it looks great in that industrial estate kind of way, and gives me fantastic performance never dropping below 122 fps at all the entire race. Max settings in game, level 4 in game AA @ 1440P - higher AA is no use to me with my coke bottle glasses - :p

    To 1: That is because the Block path is on the absolute left side and the fastest path on the absolute right side. And the track is very wide there. So the AI crosses the whole track to try to Block you, if the gaps between the cars forces the AI to try to block.
    I will try to create a better Block path that better fits for all cars.

    To 2: yes, i've experienced the same with some cars, not all do it. I hoped nobody would mention it. :)
    No, seriously, i haven't seen a reason why some cars slow down there, yet. But i will continue to try to find it out and solve it.

    Have you tried running the AI learning thing (set in the player.json file)? Will that help AI with learning the correct/best line?

    First Post is updated with the latest Version 1.03.
    I guess i can't do it much better than that.
    I again have edited some corridors and created a new Fast and Block path.
    But the AI sometimes has their own mind. :)
    I would suggest to set min. 105% Strength and 30% Aggression.
    For slower cars like the Clio, that sometimes slow down without a reason, i would suggest to set a higher strength if that happens.


    If it works, it would help the AI learning i guess, but only as a user of the track.
    This feature is no help for creating AIW files.

    I drive some laps now with the APEX GT3 Mod. Slowly my right hand reduce to a normal size :p finally :)

    The first post is updated with my "final" update, Version 1.10.
    It should work for Cobras and Honda NSX-R also. :)

    IMPORTANT NOTE: That 1.10 Update can only be installed, if you uninstall the former Updates 1.01-1.03 before!
    I would suggest to delete the Update-files 1.01-1.03, to avoid irritations.

    Can you not name it something other than just v1.1? v1.10_public or something. 32_pixels isn't around now but this (nice) update isn't sanctioned by them.

    Were the black oil patches removed?
