Unstable Build Releases

Don't ruin a good initiative guys, everybody can only benefit. How hard can it be to follow those simple rules?
 
Unstable build thread has / had zero posts in it.

I made an assumption that it perhaps wasn't open yet, as I'd have expected people to be commenting.

I forgot that assumption is the mother of all f*** ups
 
You have to sign in to the unstable build section by entering the password provided in the unstable build readme file. Otherwise you can not see any threads there.

Not reading simple instructions doesn't help either.

I think it also has to do with this. There is no official information or instructions on how to use the unstable build. How to install it while keeping your old 300 build working. How to uninstall it. i think a lot of people want to try it out but are worried or think it is too much of a hassle and will just wait for the official release of the new build.

good, if people can't figure out you simply install it separately from the current official release build then it's best they don't install it altogether!
having said that installing over the top is technically testing as well, regardless if people can't work that out for themselves then there's not much point in them downloading the unstable build.

Well the unstable release doesn't need any special skill to contribute. What we need is you guys to spot bugs/issues before the stable release, especially bugs we don't spot on internal testings. So...this is an attempt for those issues to be sorted before the stable release.

The only important thing is to report all issues in the "filtered" section to avoid confusion. That's all.

(personally I already felt great improvements in cars' & tires' behavior - mainly tested open wheels - on the 300 build, slidin' without whippin' with a fuel-overloaded [150kg] ISI formula master, sensations were just amazingly realistic!). Now, if you've still enhanced it with this build, I mean... "no one is gonna make me leave this room, I won't go outside for nothing, no one...." :)
 
The "configure sim" feature doesn't seem to work properly for me.

Normally, all I have to do is slide the resolution slider all the way to the bottom, select my prefered method of vert. sync and I'm good to go.

However, whe I do that, the game seems to select a resolutoin that spreads the game into my second monitor, not used to display the game.

And I can't see the buttons on the bottom to exit or do anything else. I'm forced to use task manager to get out of the game.

I have "windowed" ticked and I get my task bar at the bottom of my screen no matter what resolution I try.

Tried two different downloads installing it into two differently named folders and still get the same thing.

I have an ati 7970 without the CCC running... So I need to turn that on??? I haven't had to, to install final releases.

It was clear to me two days before I posted here.

I don't have a password for it.... And my password for these forums doesn't work there. Unless I missed something else, posted someplace else there ain't no password for it. Nobody has posted there.

And... every post above mine is also about an "issue" (I hate that word) with the "unstable release", just not problems with the actual running of the game... Personally, I see little difference and that's why I finally decided to post here.

Sorry if my post was a bother to you.

Would love to test some Pre-release builts !
I think my Setup and my PC Specs will fullfit anything given :)
Using a G27 Wheel btw.

Are screens/videos allowed to be posted from the unstable builds?
