Ok I am in the PC and I see the dedicated forum. It is passworded and I don't know how to get the password. Help about this?

Quick question...

Are you guys that are testing the unstable builds using two installs? IE an install of b300 (stable) and an install of b338 (unstable) or have you just the one install of the unstable b338 to test?

I`m just wondering which would be the best way to go...

Sure. Always a new install for eaxh new build and sometimes even two for the same build.

If all your going to do is test things out, then having a single clean install of the test build would be ok, but if you plan on doing some comparisons and race with others, it might be a good idea to have the stable build installed in a separate location.

@ Spaskis

Yeh, I always do a fresh install when a new build comes out. I was just wondering about having a separate install for the unstable build. :)

@ Gearjammer

I think I`d like to have a stable install for racing etc and an unstable one for testing. So I`ll try the two individual installs to see how things go.

What`s the general consensus on this? One or two installs?

I did two separate as unstable doesn't sport Devmode, on separate HD partitions, I had to set correct path in Mod Manager, because after try of unstable build, when i go back to Mod manager opened from v300 launcher , was showing me content of b.339, needed just path adjustments bottom right

So where do I get unstable builds? What is the password?

And if I do two separate installs (stable and unstable) do I get two launchers so I can easily decide which version I launch or how does this work?

Also, can I auto-update from stable to next stable?

I hope everyone does two separate installs otherwise we end up having many versions and can't compete online.

LINK to builds, the unstable build can be found right down the bottom of the page.

Password is to have access to THIS part of the forum where the build is discussed. Password can be found in teh zip file you download from the link above. Note. you will need a torrent client to get the build as the zip file only contains a readme (with password) and .torrent file to the build.

I have 2 installs, 2 launchers, one package folder and both build using that one location to get all the content/modes

Get started in the dev corner, and scroll to the bottom of the page.

The link to dev mode is in Tim`s post TIG. Down the bottom of the page click "Read More" then "I Agree" and you`ll get the download if unstable build 338.

Password is in the download. ;)

I'd love to participate, but this would mean I may not be able to play how or when I like or have time to? Will it be possible to have a second install on my computer or will this cause problems on how the software performs?

Meh, I should have probably read ALL the posts first. Never mind.

Do you guys keep your packages folder when making fresh installs with every build? You will have to install all the mods again, right?
