7. 40p
8. 35p
9. 30p

16. 2p

Qualification: Top 5: 8,6,4,2,1

Extras

Most laps in lead 4p
Completing at least 1 lap in the race 2p
Finishing the race 3p (no more than 2 laps behind the winner)
Scoring with g4 68 model X2 points + 5p
Scoring with g6 65 model X2 points


In theory, you could get 239p from this event alone

 

First race with you, and seeing that the H brothers are fighting for the championship I'll try to be very carefull during the race with you two to avoid having an influence in the result.

Interesting point system The choice of car is not as obvious anymore. I can choose the fastest car and try to win... Robert could choose the slower one and get X2 points, but if I win the race it will not be enough for him anyway. Or, I could choose the slower model and still (probably) finish somewhere in the top with X2 points... Hmmm Finishing the race is a must anyway.

I know that the G6 65 model is ~4 seconds slower per lap. But I haven't tried the G4 68 yet, but it was faster than the G6 at Kyalami and Zolder, and so it should be here. (in that case, maybe the G6 should have the extra 5 points and not the G4 68?).

Hi all,

This is the big day!

I hope everybody remember that our official practice starts at 17:00 GMT. Race will start approximately 18:05 GMT. I hope everyone will arrive early so we are ready to go at the right time. Server is open for practice at all times.

If you don't still have the password or just don't remember it, please PM me.

If you have any difficulties joining the server, please post here. I will be reading this thread few times before the race in case somebody has problems. I would recommend following to prevent join or crash problems:

1. Wait until the server list appears, don't click anything before it.
2. After typing the password, click to join, don't hit enter (has been an occasional problem previously)
3. If the join button happens to be greyed out, restart the sim and try again (usually works)
4. Avoid alt+tab during session changes or near the race start.

Ps. g6 65 felt a little faster than g4 68 but I didn't get a clean lap to compare times. G4 68 seemed to have better top speed but less grip than g6 65. Maybe g6 65 could be faster here because of the long straights? I think I'll keep the points system unless somebody can confirm that g4 68 is faster than g6 65 here.

 

I'm on the G4 with wider tires. Just want to make it to the end and enjoy a full hour of race, so this car handles pretty good to try to make it to the end without a crash.

 

Me too, Good to hear that I am not alone with G4-wide tire.

 

I'll probably use G4 wide tires too. Narrow tires were literally melting!

Everybody, remember to assign the headlights button, you'll need it. It's also good to remember to put your headlights on good time before it gets dark.

Also, remember to load your car with plenty of fuel before the race.

You might want to assign also button for pit stop in case you need to pit during this long race.

Good reminder Headlights button is important.
You can enable headlights straightaway, when standing on the grid. No need to worry about them later, while driving

Well this sucks I was in server for 5 mins then CTD, now I cannot get in again. Server connect fail.

Sometimes this happens after a CTD for 5 or 10 mins but this has been over 30 mins now. I have rebooted PC, modem and router still no joy. I can get in other servers.

I really want to be in this race but if I cannot get in server anytime soon you may as well give my spot to a reserve driver.

 

I've been on server too early this evening. I can't join anymore. Gray Join button (

 

When I get grey join buttons it's for all servers and I just rs game.

My prob is specific to this server, I enter password and get connect fail but it is up with people in it.


I will keep trying and if I do not show up within a reasonable amount of time give my place away, pffff!

 

I'll give a word to holley and we restart the server...

 

Me too, I was able to join 20 minutes ago. Then I left, and now Join button is greyed out on every server, not just USR. Can not join at all. I`ll keep restarting rF2, no luck so far.
