on the user interface, it would be possible to order the content according to our criteria of quality, for example with 5, 4, 3, 2.1 stars, to visualize only the content that we want and obtain a cleaner and more balanced game of content. type music player. What do you think?
In order of preference sounds good but music should be removed altogether just the little vwoom when highlighting things in the Ui is all the in game sounds apart from on track sounds !
What if I want to filter only modern F1 tracks (year 2000 onward)? I would like to be able to do it in new UI
cite the music player as an example, because they easily classify the songs. Music in rfactor 2? the roar of the engines.
Funny you should say that... I'm working on my own UI, inspired by AC's Content Manager (though approximately 1% as good)
Yes, you select what you want and it loads rF2's data files as necessary. That has proved to be the trickiest part, the way rF2 stores the user's selections has an unusual logic and there's at least one bit I have still to find. Also there is a command line option to run rF2 in multi user mode but I haven't managed to find a way to run it single user so at present I still have to click start it.
Nice. Is it possible to add new attribute let's say 'keywords' where everybody can enter multiple words for a track/vehicle? For instance for Ferrari 312 I would enter "F1 classic openwheeler Ferrari"
I've approached that like this (At the moment most of the data is scraped from the rF2 car files into the app's own files. They can be edited in the app to add to or correct the data. Note that it's up to you to set your own star rating for each car/track) [Edit to correct where the data comes from]
I corrected my post. Any of the fields can be edited and I could add a "keyword" one that you fill in with whatever text you want and then filter on it. I'll think about that.
That would be useful for people with many mods like me that use this game in a casual way and change their prefered car-track combo often
