Now the thing is, S397 seem to have done a fabulous job on the RF2 website. Take a look here and imagine that this is the in-game car selection screen: https://www.studio-397.com/cars-tracks/#cars Whoever is responsible for this webpage should be taking the lead on the UI layout and design. The devs can keep trying to add in controller wizards and other bits of functionality, but ultimately, if you want to make the game accessible to everyone you need to start with a very simple car and track selection screen. The one we currently have with all the version numbers and paint jobs is a spectacular mess.
You're right, that seem like quite useful materials. Between that, the modders around and the community effort overall... it's not the ideas or talent that are missing... So yeah, let's see if the guys in charges wake up on that front... But to be honest... I'm more excited by the next release of 'next gen UI' than anything from S397 right now... and 'better UI' is already a good fix in the meantime.
Does look better but can’t help but think that it’s a form over function argument. I would go for the function this time around
Now that I've seen this I cannot unsee it. I want this in my UI! So sexy. Why not having form and function?
I agree for the tracks, but the car section actually has some decent classification... if only we could get some filter like that in game. Still prefer list mode though
