[REL] UFLT - Browser based Telemetry and Laptime tool

filth

Registered
Hi guys,

i have created UFLT - it´s a tool that records all your laptimes and telemetry while you drive and makes it avaliable through the project page: www.simracingdata.com
This data can be used to improve your laptimes, compare your data with other drivers and keep track of your progress.

It even has live telemetry:

In order to get started:
1) You need to install the shared memory plugin as described here:
https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/rf2-shared-memory-tools-for-developers.54282/
2) Register and download the client: www.simracingdata.com
3) Have fun! :)

Im open to any comments and criticism.
Alex

While I really like such tools, I honestly prefer them offline or self hosted. Any chance to see that as an option in the future?

I´ve been asked this already - so yes, self hosted is an option, I will be offering a docker image, which starts all required components. nevertheless the backend requires ~ 12GB ram, this is something that should be kept in mind.
I need to figure out, how to do the licensing stuff for self hosted versions, there is a lot of work in this app that I do in my spare time, so I´d rather not give it out for free.

Why do you prefer the offline or self-hosted versions? Is there a special reason?

Wow, this is amazing ! Finally there will be more into rF2 than just to enjoy driving. Finally there is this element in rF2. Absolutely can't wait to try it ! Can't wait to see whose laptimes I can blow away, and who will blow my laptimes away.

There are over 37,000 laptimes for you to compare against in the link in my signature...

You've probably already got a load to submit too.

:)

Wow, that's heavy! Don't know if that really makes sense to go that route then :(
No special reason, but I don't always want to share my data and compare myself to others. So I'm a happy user of r2la and it really does all I need; Compare my laptimes, do some hotlapping, and even doing a custom offline championship. If I want, I could also put this on a dedi or server and monitor results. But I really enjoy r2la, although it probably lacks some fancy graphics, latest software, or features, simply because I can just run it myself like any other program ;)

Will you hack my computer somehow ? :D I wish you will not find out what kind of porn I watch (it is not something that would put me in jail though :D). However, whatever, registering I think it should be nice. I was a big big fan of RSR application in Assetto Corsa, it always was incredible to have that thing going in any track, with any car.

Of course :p

No, seriously there are some hundred people using this. I put a lot of effort in this. The last thing I want is to find out your porn ;)
I'm rather interested in new ideas and suggestions

Nice!!!!!!!!!!
ROLF, I'm working in a plugin & web like this for the last weeks, so don't make sense to still going on with my work :P
The client detect if the player uses aids during the lap and deactivate just before passed the finish line? or if is running a replay?. The app get the version of the mod and track?
Those are some of the tricks & problems I find from those who want to abuse systems like this. :)

If I can help with feedback for a fine tuning, let me know.

Currently all the laps I did with the application on is 00:00:00, although at first many of those were actually registered.

Yes, I'm seeing you as being on but no best lap times..In details it shows times for all your other laps but everything blank for the "best lap times"...strange.

Released 4.3.7 which fixes this issue and marks invalid laps red.

Client will update automatically after a restart
Faulty sessions fixed manually

Good work!

What exactly is transmitted from rF2 to your servers? Just out of interest, I'm not renewing my tinfoil hat just yet....

Can times be added manually? (from the .cch files etc?)

Where do you get the car/track names from? What happens if I drive something that's not recognised by your plugin, for example.
