[REL] Tv Plugin

Hi folks does anyone know if In the tower widget when you select to have the names as 3 letters can you get it to show with the three first letters of the surname rather than a letter from the first name and then 2 from the surname also is there a way to make the name box smaller in the tower so that it does not take up as much space cheers all

I am having a small issue with your plugin, If i use it as default it works fine with no problems at all, But after i modified it a bit with new layout and Class colors, vehicle avatars etc it now makes RF2 very jerky as if it is running at 10 fps for example. Switch it back to the default and its fine.
Any idea as to why this would be?

I have a question / request:
Is it possible to send the commands of the remote console to another pc?
My idea: In most cases the streaming pc stands in another location as the commentator. So the commentator connects to the desktop of the streaming pc via rrdviewer or other tools like that. With this method you loose CPU-/ GPU-/ RAM- capacities and a lot of Bandwidth. Sometimes the commentator has no sound and must commentate without it.
So it would be great to have the following setup:
Streaming PC: only runs the game and the streaming program (maybe a listener for the commands)
Commentator: runs the game locally and the remote console

When the commentator changes the camera or the driver with the console the action takes place in the local game and the game on the streaming pc. I know mouseaction will be difficuilt but maybe it´s possible to implement some of these actions to the console.

It would be nice if you think about it.
 
Hi, does anyone know way the remote console crashes on startup with rf2 steam version? Works fine with non-steam version tho.
Could it be a port issue? now 668 and 669. Thx :)
 
When I saw your post a few days ago I thought 'why would this need to be optimized for DX11? Now that I read this post by Marcel Offermans I am a bit concerned the update to DX11 might break this tool we (and lots of other leagues out there that stream their races) rely on and that we have no alternative to. Seeing that Gerald was last seen on this forum in September 2016 only adds to my concerns.

I remember he thought about releasing the source code for all his excellent tools probably over a year ago, but never did so to my knowledge. Anybody here who is in contact with Gerald or who could reach out to him?

First of all, AWESOME plugin!

We've been working on a custom one for our league (SimRacingHub F1) but have hit an issue with the DriverTiming widget.

For some reason, the image for [Driver Timing.S1.Tag.IfBestAllCat] (and the same applies to S2 and S3) are not loading correctly. Here's what I mean:
- How [Driver Timing] looks like:

It should look like this:

Notice how the purple for the best sector 1 image is somewhat corrupted. I've been trying to work around the issue but haven't found a way!
 
Could it be possible you do not only have [Driver Timing.S1.Tag.IfBestAllCat] available=1 but also [Driver Timing.S1.Tag.IfBestInCat] and the corresponding image for the latter is displayed on top of the former? Thinking about it, it could be any other graphic that is referenced to from WidgetDriverTiming aswell.
 
I have encountered a strange issue with the plugin. It has worked fine since I downloaded it a couple of years ago, but the other day I noticed the live timing was out of whack. The scrolling banner, the times between drivers are completely out of whack, alternating between anywhere from 50 seconds to 1 second. I initially thought that it might be an issue with the track, however I have noticed that this is happening on tracks that I've used this plugin fine without any.

Would anyone have a clue of what I can do to try fix this?

Unfortunately, G. Jacobson stopped work on his great plugins. Is it possible to download this source codes from his work somewhere, as he promised? Thanks for answer.

Pardon my rookie question(s). I am interested in broadcasting some RF2 races and found the plugin. So, will I need a minimum of two computers? Two connections to the race server? Do I have to open ports on my router?
