Hi, As title says I have some issues with "transparent trainer". First of all it should be more transparent or at least there should be option to increase transparency level. Second issue( actually a bug), which so far I only noticed with Mclaren 650S from GT3 Pack, is that yellow(or flame like) circle appears at the back of the car (see screenshots). It usually happens when ghost car is braking (but sometimes on straights). Also sometimes smoke comes out of ghost car (even though car wasn't overheated during best lap). It randomly and very rarely happens so it's not much of an issue. Last thing not related, but sometimes instant replays are in slow motion.
There is other bugs with ghost trainer depending of the mods you use. Concerning transparency and one another parameter, you can set them on the player.json. If I remember well, 1 = 100% transparent and 0.01 is non transparent. There is another setting that you can modify.
@DrivingFast Thanks, found this option and will try it. If it works then it wouldn't be so important to add such transparency slider in GUI. What other bugs did you encounter?
I can not describe them because it was so long that I did not use the function. Sometimes the ghost trainer, depending on the mods, takes a cubic form and does not look like a car, especially when we get close to it. I do not know more. But there will be no change, I think, because it's probably one of S397's last priorities. I "pray" for them to invest in the AI performance optimization + the improvement of the "AI realism".
Yeah I forgot about that one. A transparent cube appears that surrounds a car. But I agree it's a low priority, with so many things to improve (better UI, trackmap, cars not using latest tech i.e. updated CPM tires).
For instance Honda Civic BTCC, but it happens for many cars. Not that it's big issue, especially since car's transparency can be increased in player.json and probably many users don't use this feature.
Transparent trainer is a great tool It’s broken though never know when it’s going to work correctly or not “Best” should appear after outlap without fail , even after entering a whole new session ( very “best” saved from a previous day etc ) very frustrating
Sometimes , but in a lot of cases it does not unless you beat the time of that lap It should save & another session/day appear after out lap but sometimes fails
I'm not sure if I understand. When best trainer is chosen then after out lap it appears for me (with my best recorded lap time so far)
