Hi. The project was paused for various reasons, mainly because there were no x64 plugins without bugs. Yes, I know it, new plugin x64 was released but I'm immersed in other projects now, so I'll continue this way until I get more time to finish it. As I commented in previous posts, I asked S397 some way to launch the project to steam like very low cost payment content, thus being able to push and launch, but I never received a response which made me understand that they were not interested. Anyway, I would like to take the opportunity to leave a contact in case someone is interested in pushing / financing its final development: goibaka@hotmail.com Waiting with all the illusion of the world that this track is released in rf2 I send you the most sincere thanks for the likes received.
Can you post at least a short video showing your latest progress? If it’s a high quality project then I’m sure a lot of us will donate to you. You don’t need steam to make some profit.
https://www.simtraxx.net/?product=rf2-transfagarasan-dn7c-35km-ultimate-laserscanned-pre-order Simtraxx claimed that they have paid 30 000 euros for the transfagarasan lasercan......they often lie to justify the price, 19€. So Goibaka, your project is made by simtrax now... (SIM TRAXX )You will be able to justify this once You see it Remember also that we are a small company and many people pirate our tracks and we dont have such big reach like other games. So for 1cm laserscanned 35 km track with ULTRA quality with VAO, night lights, many layouts, AI traffic it is a price necessary. It will go down though after initial months once we secure our get even. PS. It was laserscanned for more than 1 week by specialised company. The cost of laserscanning alone was around 30 000 EUR...
If they dared to spend that kind of money, then they must have had to make a lot from other projects that they were shuffeling, or they sold their houses. Anyway. 1cm... I believe thats laserscan accuracy, because such resolution in the game would be practical only for rFpro. P.S. @Goibaka I would not expect them making better stuff than you anyway. P.P.S have you seen the preview of Nordschleife in simracing expo this weekend ? I mean, those shadows.... I think hills didn't even produce them, just trees, but still some bits looked as dark as in night. I'm in your side in terms of those. But I guess in final product they will do something about them.
Hi guys, Thanks for the information. Really, is that I already knew this information for 6 months ago. I simply wish you good luck in the development of this huge project. Obtaining the point cloud only means having obtained the datas ... the real hard work starts there Regarding the cost of € 30,000 .... it is something that has surprised me a lot, since I contacted the same company for months to request a budget and study their feasibility. The case is that for the 40 km (and not 35) the budgeted cost was much lower (including expenses of 1 week of its staff). I still have the official budget. I just want you to be careful about it. My experience with SINTRAXX has always been to feel scammed, did not comply with the deal nor he never paid me what was agreed. So launching the "pre order" for € 19 without showing any advanced work .... it seemed like something to consider. As mantasisg comments .... Hopefully S397 will provide us a solution to these problems, perhaps thanks to the new Nords project they understand that it is necessary to do so. Regards
Hi mate are you saying that the images they are showing for Transfagarasan are no further on than the work that you did?
No, at all. I am only recommending that it is not reliable. The images only show the pointcloud, it is obvious that he has got it, but you do not see any development in them (mesh, textures, props, ...) ... ups! ... sorry ... a alone screenshoot with quality of a BTB track. At least, after 6 months of WIP, there should be a solid base to show us.
How are the recent graphical improvements for you ? I think they are "technically" a green light for this mod. If it would happen to be continued of course.
I think it is good time to bump this topic. Will Goibaka return or not, would he continue the project, is he interested, what he thinks about rF2 now ? I drove Nordschleife today, and it was just the nicest, most immersive and realistic drive. I instantly remembered this project again.
Goibaka last seen on here Oct 2019 so looks like a lost cause unless it can be given over to another active modder?
