I am not sure it will be a requeriment. Old rf1 track (north and south) was 1000 materials but new rF2 track has high optimization with current 75 materials and finally I don't think it will be higher of 150 materials. Also, shadows are being dealing with concern. Perhaps the track demands high performance graphic card when you driving with real traffic (real traffic has been implemented with full loop path for AI cars) and Full game settings.

Hi guys! Project goes on but It is Paused or is being developed slowly due to I don't getting enough time. Also, this project has put some challenges on the table like shadows, optimization, lights, massive billboards,.... S397 has been asked for techniques to provide me with some solution to fix the dramatic problem of"too dark shadows", so much so that in some areas it is impossible to have a good vision. I remain waitting... I'm not sure if S397 will allow modelers to put their content in the steam workshop to help its financing and thus push them to release more contents. So, the evolution project depends of my free time while I haven't a way to work full time. It will be great because any content would reach all users at very low cost. I hope see you soon at transfagarasan track (rF2 v1.0)

About me I would be delighted to get the layout with correct graphics even if there is still a lot of work. The version currently available lacks much interest unfortunately (I do not know if it is yours). Or MP if you prefer
No, I didn't try IBL......because it isn't the same. "too dark shsdows problem" is a knowing problem and at moment S397 isn't able give me a solution. For me the too dark shadow issue has been gone since the previous update I think. VR user here, before that it was almost impossible to play with clouds.
Sorry guys!... the project has been CANCELLED until that problem is fixed. It's impossible drive under shadows
IMO you can for now remove shadow casters from mountains, instead add a bit of vertex AO on the grass in those places (I'm sure there are certain places which have very little direct sunlight at almost any time of day. And keep shadow casters in vegetation, so the road will have some shadows. Most people won't notice.
No, I don't want tricks. Simply now rF2 does not meet my quality standard. I have got other projects. I wish S397 give us a solution soon, but at the moment it seems that there will be no solution in the near future.
