Have you take a look?
Sure, do the other "workarounds" work?
Yes they seem to have worked fine, I didn’t get any issues.
@Mike Cantwell is looking for some AIW help to move his 1985 Bathurst project along. Could one of you maestro's give him an assist?
I already sent Mike a PM yesterday
Speaking of the workshop Long Beach: it took 10 seconds to find the issue why the AI is braking at the start/finish line. A fix as rfcmp could be found in the well known AIW folder for download
You are on fire
better than get fired
ok, another try: https://mega.nz/file/So9VWJ7I#_KblFuQTJhPctpDdl9ux6yCUJHPgC-_DphqDqkuORR4 - same procedure as always
Windows Media Player (gyazo.com)
The same issue persists. It happens mostly when a faster driver on fresh tyres tries to pass at that corner.
thx for the update; but with 1.01 now they are still braking slightly short after the green flag (rolling start).. and, other than before, arent able to catch up to the safety car on the formation lap . maybe you can take another look...?
They cant catch the safety car because they are starting the formation lap behind the hairpin and therefore way behind the safety car. This has also not worked with the original AIW.
It set this so that they start formation lap from the grid positions and directly behind the safety car.
This is why the AI braked. The speed index of the marked waypoint forces the AI to brake. Changed also the waypoint in the curve to full throttle.
There is also no correct left and right path so the AI will follow the safety car in one row. Will record both paths tomorrow
thank you, very nice!!! only one hint: before they also started way behind the safety car as you mentioned, but closed up quickly and catched up on the backstretch...i experienced that in some races.
Next try for Long Beach available in the well known AIW folder. Now with different left and right path. Had some troubles to get them around the hairpin at formation lap. Uninstall previous fix first.
maybe a dumb question,...but, what is "the well known AIW folder"?
and: are you talking about the long beach version from LuisB from workshop?
This: https://mega.nz/folder/CIIlGQ5C#jmMrO8sfvanSx4D6X8PaLg and yes, its for the workshop version
Lets try some blocking at Long Beach: https://mega.nz/folder/CIIlGQ5C#jmMrO8sfvanSx4D6X8PaLg/file/vYZkWbIC - please uninstall previous update first. In devmode with @Chris Lesperance famous Champcar it worked well, even at the hairneedle turn
Lets try a bit more collision corridor: https://mega.nz/file/SgF3QbzK#HHGXMahe2tKZTPg0DnZyghsI106Nj5Mfdrrdf9jlDWk
Because i am lazy i tried something new. I used the AI calibration/learning in devmode and let the AI run some laps. Recorded this run and generated from this replay a new fastest path. The AI gained some time. I had to do some corrections on two turns where the AI was to aggressive
So here is an update for one of my favorite tracks Trembling Mountain (aka Mount Tremblant): https://mega.nz/file/3sNXUYJR#WMsYPaggDdmjjkgqoxhN3LqJQjNCgdschOtoFdvLLqY - also on the well known AIW folder. New AIW for the 24h, national and club layout (all with the chicane version). Some feedback is welcome
