In the AIW editor you go to show/hide menu and then show corridors.
Has anyone looked in making a somewhat decent AIW for a Long Beach track (any version)? I tried the IDT version a couple of days ago and the AI all crashed in the 2nd or 3rd corner of free practice.
I´ve been trying but have problems in the first lap. Try the one I did anyway, it´s in my Mega folder.
Did a race, 28 ai. 1 retired in lap 1.
After 45 minutes still 20 ai running, but did have a couple of ai fully stopped on track after an incident. But better then expected.
However after 45 minutes the ai had to pit and at least 4 dnf-ed in the first turn when exiting the pit.
I will test again with some changes in the json file, for example lowering ai mistakes and ai aggression.
Couple of questions:
• do you advise to use ai learning on your aiw files?
• Would it be benificial to turn of the block path in the player file for street courses? I feel a bunch of accidents happen when they defend their position.
Great to hear it went decently for you. I don't know about AI learning on AIW, I just set that feature in player.json for them to learn.
I don't like turning the block path off, that doesn't happen in real life. What I think is better is make safer corridors in places like the fountain. Feel free to edit and change it all you want.
Oh yes AIW at long beach. Had to be really stingy with collision corridors to actually prevent accidents. Problem is ai runs like a train then thru t1 and fountain. Had some success removing some of tires in t1 and the back straight turn. The wall cracks are ridiculous at that track and Toronto too.
I only have one Mid Ohio folder, with several subfolders. In ModMgr, there's only one Mid Ohio listed, and it doesn't show as bold, indicating an available upgrade. I redownloaded the AIW file before I retried and it still doesn't work.
I can confirm the current file for Midohio doesn't work for me either. It says "Base mod is missing" even though I have Midohio 2.02 installed.
Also Flatspotter, there should only be 1 folder labeled "2.02" under Midohio.
I'll check that tomorrow, sorry about the issue.
Mid Ohio AIW is now online Download_link: https://mega.nz/folder/CIIlGQ5C#jmMrO8sfvanSx4D6X8PaLg/file/mIxkCCqa or check the mega drive in atomed´s signature for MidOhio_Virtua_LM_Miller200_AIWnew.rfcmp
Works with the 2.02 version from Steam VR
Install worked this time!! Thanks guys
Mid Ohio installed and the AI are really good! Thanks atomed and Manfredk2!
I did for a guy at ISR a quick "noDRS" fix for both layouts of Donington (not the senormen one). Also added atomed´s AIW for GP layout and an AIW by me (afair only added a block line) for National layout. Look here: https://mega.nz/folder/CIIlGQ5C#jmMrO8sfvanSx4D6X8PaLg
Not sure if the AI pros here can address it or if we have to wait for an S397 bug fix, but the AI are causing havoc on the new Monza at Curva Grande. AI are slowing for no apparent reason coming out of that curve.
This issue should be already fixed
awesome! thank you so much
just a dumb question (i do not know anything about making AIWs ):
is it possible for you without big effort to make also a version out of this AIW for the layout with the chicane?
I´ll do the AIW, but I think I´ll leave the packing to @Manfredk2
Can someone please help me?
I have downloaded the AIW and put them in my packages folder. However when I use mod manager they are no where to be seen, so I can’t install the AIW updates. All the other RFCMP in my packages folder shows up in mod manager, but none of the AIW updates.
What could I be doing wrong here?
I'm struggling to get the Spa 2020 AIW update working, It says it is v1.06, but Spa is already version 1.15??
