I did a NFS-ish hackjob in DriveForLife colors. Wasn't too easy when I had to figure out where things lined up completely by myself. Also realized that the rear bumper-thing with the tow-hook is inverted in the template. That looked funky when I first tried it! Anyway, would surely be better if I spend more than 2 1/2 hours on it as well
Great to see what you guys do with the cars. I hope the racing goes well, I wouldn't say the physics are near final on wear and timings, if you want to give feedback afterwards please do.
Racing went nice We had some dropouts, so it was a slightly smaller field than what we've ad the last weeks. But it was some of the best racing we've had regardless. We kept the tyres alive for 25 minutes as well, but we'd needed a stop if we'd had much longer races I really like what you guys are doing in regards to engine life and shifting. There was quite a bit of mis-shifting going on during the races, but only one blown engine!
Like Ole is saying this was really fun! On my end i am an semi-amateur simracer since i have been away from rFactor for about 8 years or so. so the last couple of races we have done, i have been a solid backmarker and struggled to post laptimes near the faster guys This time i really found a car suiting my driving style, it was easy to drive after a couple warm up laps, it was fast but not overpowered, and it was a car that really tested your concentration after a long race to keep you between the white lines and off the grass The first race i had only minor problems due to me downshifting and ended up in neutral instead of third gear, this resulted in a small tap on a other driver and me going off the track The second race i kept pushing for the total 25 minutes and managed to blow the engine in the first corner after the finishline I really hope we will be racing more with these kind of cars, and maybe it could be possible to make a race where the other cars from the same era could race together
I find myself fixing all the faults in the car, it practically means doing 80% of the car again but it will give much more FPS, it will come completely in PBR like the B110 and it will have a lot of components new, the idea is to launch both cars together.
The B110 post addresses this issue as well, and I must say that this has already been solved. Both cars will be published later when they are ready
