[WIP] Total Immersion Racing

I'm currently working on a new project from scratch, that will be included in version 1.0, all the cars from Total Immersion Racing, a game released for PC and PS2 in 2002.

I actually bought that game! HAHA!

The game itself wasn't that great, but had some interesting content for the time.

 

This is the kind of pack that S397 should be developing! It never gets old!

This cars will be a great adition to this game!

i used to play it a lot, solely for the R8 and some other cars. Keep up!

 

Total Immersion Racing was going to be the NEXT BIG THING. The idea was to create physics far above the level of GPL and sell packages of cars. Think DLC before there was DLC. The two developers were brothers, if I recall, They never finished work on it but the distributor finally lost patience and released a buggy product that had only the original set of cars with no further pack.

 

You are not thinking of the West Brothers are you? Racing Legends? I didn't know anything was released - I just thought their ambition was greater than the time/money they had.
Back (more) on topic, this could be a really interesting mod to try

I'm pretty sure...well with my mind that's not very concrete, but I've got a memory that TIR was the publisher's attempt to recoup any money from the black hole the West Brothers dug.

Wowww, a lot of work there. Are you working alone? Are you doing 3D model, textures, sound ? And what about the physics, tires data and all the cars data? Good luck man. I would donate to help you.

 

I'm working alone, I'm doing the 3D model, textures and sound. After the model is decent enough to export into the game, I'll make sounds, textures, physics, etcetera.
