    My non rfactor friends who love top gear think follow-through and Gambon need more dirt instead of grass. I almost don't recognize this place with the sun!

    You know, if it wasn't for the textures inside the Megane, (watching the track go by), I would swear it was a real life video.
    Absolutely excellent work on this track!

    Actual Gambon do not have grass nor dirt...just a concrete white curb, as you can see in the video. They had put three concrete curbs in the shortcut (one in the apex entry, another in the middle and the last in the exit/gambon), to avoid offroads on grass/mud.

    Follow Through start from // grass to dirt to concrete to old asphalt to new asphalt//. At this time all this stuff are modeled but dirt is, for now, missing. After I'm sure the surface mesh is definitive I will proceed to model some high poly corners to recreate bumps, dirt and some other stuff in these corners.

    PS: I love TG as well...:D

    EDIT: of course your friends are right...but the actual track is a bit changed and now is more secure for racing and amateurs drivers...

    I have to be honest....the GT5 version has inspired me because, in terms of graphics, it's reeeeeally nice. Some fantasy stuff around the track...but the general quality is very high....so thanks for this! :)

    This is the first question in my mind for this specific layout; how to create a sort of time trial on single lap? I hope ISI can offer a new solution for this kind of tracks...and IMHO should be interesting to have a time trial section between TEST and RACE...:/

    Thanks guys.

    Now I'm working on road reflectors..but I think those cars headlights angle are too low. Anyone knows if is there a way to modify the headlight angle?

    Thanks

    First, your track is amazing, very-very great work!

    Second, the headlight.
    You can edit the headlight in the car .GEN - file. Just find these line:
    Light=HeadlightL
    {
    Type=Spot Pos=(-0.93, 0.30, -2.2) Dir=(0.15, -0.10, -0.85) Range=(0.000000, 100.842000) Active=False Attenuate=(0.1, 0.01, 0.001) Hotspots=(10.0, 60.0) Falloff=(2.0) Intensity=(2.500000) Color=(165, 230, 232)
    }
    Light=HeadlightR
    {
    Type=Spot Pos=(0.93, 0.30, -2.2) Dir=(-0.15, -0.10, -0.85) Range=(0.000000, 100.842000) Active=False Attenuate=(0.1, 0.01, 0.001) Hotspots=(10.0, 60.0) Falloff=(2.0) Intensity=(2.500000) Color=(165, 230, 232) // (255, 205, 145)
    }

    First section is the front left and the second section is the front right headlight.
    You can adjust the Dir= 2nd parameter to adjust the angle.

    Hey great track cant wait to be putting my times down.
    Can I ask but dont want to implicate anyone, did you do most of your modeling using google maps for reference, I believe you could get even more accurate texture overlay patterns for the grass and runways plus get a better idea of where to place objects that actually exist there. Looks like the Jumbo has moved lol -> google maps top gear track

    Thanks mate.

    I did not use GE data. I use some DEM/GIS from DigitalGlobe. These layers of data are much more precise and updated.
    Actually I'm using a 2011 aerial image as a position reference and the old 2009 orthoimage as a "multi" image above all my grass istances. :)

    About the 747, the actual position is on the other concrete runway...just in front of the ATC tower.

    Thanks Mike. It seems too high for me...

    I watched a tons of videos and the only way to see the slight downhill..is on very short focals. This means the real elevation profile is really slight, as I get on my DEMs.

    As you know, this place is for airplanes...so we can't think to see a real downhill...:)

    EDIT:

    My DEM gave me a profile 53 - 55 - 53. So 2 meters of elevation peak on 350mt of road...almost flat.
