I asked because the first time I tried to install the newest version, it installed ok but I still had v0.51 (I think) installed and couldn`t un-install it for some reason. I kept getting a message saying it was needed for a mod but when I clicked "Advanced" there was nothing in there indicating that it wasn`t needed for any mod... Anyway, when I tried to drive the newest version I could only drive the short layout, no long layout existed for me and on the short layout I had strange track textures like the ones you linked to. I re-installed rf2 and removed v0.51 before copying over my Packages folder and all was well. I`m able to drive all layouts and no more strange track textures...
OK... I`ll check Toban later to see if I can come across those funny textures but I`ve never noticed them so far.
Thanks feels for the feedback i didnt realice. The pictures are the 0.78 version. I want to watch more videos of mapping and research good information to do this. The long version reverse will be added in the next version. Thanks.
I presume that when you were applying texture to the road surface you probably had some faces not selected. Select all road surface instances and apply texture to that group. (remember about map channel - 2 for detail map)

Would it be possible to have Toban long REV layout also in version 0.78? That's a great layout and it's a shame that 0.78 doesn't include it

Hi banger, You don't need to put the instance on the .scn because in rf2 the sky is a global object for all the tracks. The only you need is a "skyboxi" for the horizon. Cheers,
And as much as I love Toban, we all would rather you work on a track that ISI is NOT releasing themselves. We'll get the official Toban soon enough and 0.78 is more than enough to tide us over until then. Please work your magic on other tracks!
speak for yourself please, I'd like to see this version updated and then get ISIs version whenever they decide to release it, which by the way could be years away so it'd be good to get this version updated sooner rather than later.

Let's take a vote of who wants two "finished quality" versions of exactly the same track and who would prefer two different ones? You can't have everything and the talented modders time is a precious resource. Doing the same work twice is a stupid waste of that resource.
