Even with the Special Effects on ULTRA, Tire tracks on the road and offroad and on the back of cars on wet track, Do not stay displayed after several laps.

I think computers can handle that, especially since users can choose to put these Special Effects into the medium if their computer is struggling.

I wish that S397 remedies this problem that lasted only too long.

It therefore concerns at least tire tracks on and off the road, and tire tracks on wet roads.

    PS :
Not sure the term [Tire Tracks] is the correct one, sorry. I think it is comprehensible ;)

Is there a specific track you're looking at or are you noticing this on many tracks?

It appears that skid mark duration can be edited in the TDF of the track (https://forum.studio-397.com/index....-update-january-2017.54285/page-4#post-875551), but that leaves it up to the track maker to do so. I don't know whether that affects tire tracks on wet roads that aren't skids.

I think no matter how long any duration is, each car will only leave a certain amount of marks. As you keep leaving new ones your old ones will disappear.

I would imagine modern PCs could handle more than ones that were around when these parameters were set, but there would still be a limit. If they do bump up the maximums generally I would say anything more extreme would be down to a specialist parameter, rather than tying very high values to standard graphics settings options.

Grand Prix 4’s stay until you exit the game. They will be there if you exit the race weekend and come back.

I was talking more specifically about rF2 rather than games generally. If GP4's are truly unlimited it would risk a game crash if abused.

Once you exit the game they reset. Rather strange.
