Tire temps

My tire temps are over 130-degrees (red) coming out of the pits. I’ve changed compound, pressure, camber and ambient temperature. Is there anything I can do to start the race with normal tire temps?

not seeing that with several cars tested. Try renaming your player.json file. Then verify files in Steam before launching rF2.

Your profile message/status says this is Fahrenheit, and that sort of temp is pretty normal for any series with tyre warmers. If you think there's an issue be specific (which car? which track? Give one example people can test), and don't waste time asking questions in what looks like a chatbox on the forum. It's just user status / profile posts.

How do I rename my player file?

use windows explorer. The file is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player folder. Just right click on the file Player.json and choose the rename option. I like to keep the original name clean so I can find the file close to the new one. So Player.jsXXXon is one method. (win 11 hides the rename option, you have to choose the more options from the menu when you click on the name of the file)

In the Profile Post you say "but the tires indicators are "red" at 130(F)/55(C). Shouldn't they be "green" to be within the proper operating window?"
Can you show a Screenshot of the Tire Indicator that you mention?

That helped my problem. Thank you very much. Now I have another problem. My Buttkickers aren't responding. Do I need to change a file name in SimHub now?

That was my error. The tires were "red" on my additional dash and the screen on my Grid P911. On rF2 they stay "blue/purple" until around 140-degrees. Is that appropriate?

yes, blue is the cool temp, usually most tires when you first leave the pits. The color pattern differs from rF1.
