Hi Someone have already ask this question, but i didn't find any answer on this forum after a search. So, what is the problem ? ingame : View attachment 882 we see a line on the tread. my mapping and 3d : View attachment 883 material : View attachment 884 so ... i had a look on the tutorials tyres files and i see same problem ingame. actually mapping looks like "not fine" : View attachment 885 there is no problem with originals cars, so someone can explain this to me ? thanks a lot, bye Solution :
Same for me, doesn't happen with other shaders. I think something's wrong with the shader, I hope ISI will look at it later
so ... something wrong with the bump. t1 > ok spec map > ok bump spec map > problem i tried 10 or 15 differents bumps tex ... even ISI ones ... the solution is near ... please someone help
It looks like the spec map is the problem from your screenshot. Either way all of your maps must be a repeatable image. You can't use any spec or bump map. Only those that have been mapped to your tire will work correctly. I would try to make my bump and spec maps out of your color map.
i disagree toebee. sure there are many ways to map a wheel, but you can use all textures made for the same kind of mapping. and i said this is ok in spec map shader anyway, even a "one color" texture doesn't work, so it's not a mapping problem. maybe 3d or export settings of the texture.
I have the same issue on my end. My tires were fresh builds along with new textures made specifically for the tire. I havent gone as far to figure out if it is the bump or the spec map yet but it looks like that has already been done. I am also using the Deformable tire texture. I have made all of my textures tileable so I know thats not the issue.
Does using a plain T1 shader render the same result? Then you would know if it was the shader or your model
did you try to affect 2 differents smooth groups on your tire ? anyway, if you have this issue with all objects, you may check this before continue. this option is very useful.
For me checking "Fix Cyl Wrap" worked to cure the issue. I also did not change my normals to Max. I kept them gmotor. Devin: Not sure what your workflow is, but if your using a mas, make sure you just create a new mas and make sure you are exporting the updated model. I always verify the created date/time to make sure it is the one I just exported.
