not a fan of the new forum layout, before when this forum was the Main Page - so to speak - you had all the other RF2 forums within easy reach, now it's a click back to go forward and then more clicks back to go forward back to here!

I know it's petty and not a massive life threatening issue but on a mobile phone it's a PITA

 

You should invest in Tapatalk, makes browsing forums on a smartphone (I'm assuming that's what you browse with) much much easier and from what I can see the layout hasn't changed when browsing like that.

Agree with you. I don't like the new layout at all and now it is much more difficult and complicated to navigate in this forum.

 

never got on with Tapatalk and it's not just on the phone it's a PITA, normal PC web browser too. The layout hasn't changed in terms of what the individual folder/forums are but they have been moved back 1 slot bar the Wish List. Extra clicking involved you see? as before, petty I know but it's the simple little things that get noticed sometimes

 

Completely opposite for me. I like it. Much more organised.

 

I think it may be a good thing; you have to go past the technical etc forums to get to the general one, which may help people actually post in the right place instead of everything getting dumped in general...

 

I think the idea is to force people to drill into the subforms and post in more relevant places. The General top levels are full of arguing about what color the sky is:
It's blue.
No it's light blue.
You're wrong.

To post yes, to navigate no, but it isn't a big deal and I will get used to it in a few days!

People will still post in the main forum and potentially even more so now that the sub forums are not as obvious when you are in the main forum (except for wish lists).
