From April on, i will work on this beauty for about 6 months But i'm affraid we won't be running Rfactor 2 on it
not all into that one simulator. The narrator in the video seemed to be a bit overexcited @ Jos: hehe, driving an SLS in that would be awesome. But it's already developed and available in real life for testing...so probably no
That's nice, but I can't figure how to project the image in such close screen and no driver's shadows at all... Unless he's projecting from behind, but in this case the image turns faded...
Here's my setup.. View attachment 6383 View attachment 6384 View attachment 6385 and here is a short video of it in action.....
Clockit, is that a pack of smokes I see there? Might be a bit of a distraction in a race Love the cable management in the case though, looks very clean.
I changed from analog cigarettes to electronic one about a year ago, and I wish I could make a F1 drinking system thinger for smoking for my rig. Electronic one makes driving and smoking little harder cause you cant have it hanging from your lowerlip like regular cig, but on the + side, no smell, no ash, no hot cherry on your lap (which totally kills your race/lap/the other lap).
(cross-posted this from RaceDepartment, hope that's cool!) Quick rig update. I moved my man-cave around a bit today, while clearing it up. Decided to take a few snaps while I was there. Essentially not much has changed. The PC is a 2600k, with 16gb ram and an AMD 7970. The rig consits of: Nixim chassis 3x 23" monitors mounted on a Novatech monitor stand Logitech 5.1 speakers Fanatec Clubsport Wheel with BMW & Formula rims Fanatec Clubsport Pedals (v1) BMW E39 sequential shifter (plugged into the CSW) Thrustmaster TH8 RS shifter (can be mounted on either side, hence two 'mounts') Buttkicker mounted into the base of the seat foam (see here: http://tinyurl.com/bkngxyk ) SLI Pro (using simsli software) Here's a few pics: http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00905.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00906.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00907.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00908.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00909.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00911.jpg http://dorkish.com/albums/Geek/man-cave/2013-02-23/20130223-DSC00910.jpg It's not right yet. I want to flip the pedals upside down, add another buttkicker into the back of the seat, and bigger monitors.. I'd like to go for a motion rig at some point, too. Still, it's fun.
Thanks guys! They are LG IPS monitors. I can find the model if you like? I'm pretty happy with them. EDIT: got the model: 23 LG IPS231P IPS LED Monitor The monitor stand can be bought from here: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/monitors/monitoraccessories/nov-mstrip.html
To bring this thread back up, here's an early pic of my diy-rig. Now the screen is a bit lower and has been joined by two more 27" monitors, and some stickers have also found their places. The colour scheme is my sim-team-livery Here are the most important stickers (home made) Also, I've made a little house for the T500, with fans force feeding air into the housing and doubling as a button box/dashboard. The electronics for the button box/dash is a stripped and killed Steelseries SRW-1 wheel.
