What part did you not understand that he delete all the posts? ... you are not more stupid because you are not bigger ... and I no longer care if he fixes it or not, as if it flies or not on the pianos ... I leave the thread so as not to answer nonsense like yours
Thanks Fred, said it on the discord as well. Hands down an amazing mod, comes really close to my own cayman. If they don't like it they will also not like the real thing. Complainers will always complain. We all knew what happened on the discord server and the same guy is posting nonsence here as well. He believes his own lies. You wanted to help him big respect for that. Just ignore stupidity, problem solved. He just posted he leaves here.
Everyone is free to have an opinion. Glad you like it @Akon Michi , I'm sure V1.1 will belong to many their favorites in coming months. April is very talented at making physics in my view, writing your own software to calculate things. Don't ask me how she does... She will nail it better then the V1.0 End this month I have some time to model the rear wings and include the second tyre model (Pirelli). If there are modellers willing to help me on the forthcoming Supra GT4 or at Global Endurance Modding feel free to contact @haasje33. I have some cool future projects in mind as well based on a voting I did and other ideas people suggested. Also I would love some footage of the Cayman and some screenshots if people have them. Feel free to PM me or drop them here Julien (a GEM member) did dropped the 7 and 77 Volt team cars in my inbox as well. Will be added in the V1.1 as well. I end this post with one I did make this weekend. Going on the edge of the tyre grip, squeezed onto the rims That screeeoooouuuu moment ... a sound I made in 2 hours and patience. Thank you for awesome mod! Really enjoy it the close racing these Porsche's give. Good physics and visuals too!
Thank You Fred to share this beautiful car with community. From what I saw, You are not only one of the best modelers for RF2, but also an excellent example of nice person with high fairplay.
These guys made my day. This is what makes it worth the long hours of debugging and tuning the car. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2648433641
Small V1.1 task done (had a bit time available) The fix on windshield (weird 3D behavior) is gone now. The reflections are perfect now. Also the front light plexi is where it should (no gap anywhere) How it was: (note the weird reflections on top of winshield/windows)
Sure, as promised V1.1 is in the make.. Tasks left: green is ok - Extra material for more shadow under the car (edited) - Revision: Understeer / slightly more slip at rear on throttle. - Rim optimization - BOP - Final tyre and physics (better turn circle) - Fix small front light glass offset + LOD front lights glass and mirrors - Look at reflections windshield (I guess a bad 3D edge fix is needed) - Final template map (small error on rear bumper) - Two new wing models to be made + physics differences - FFB 20% less heavy - Scale the mirror 3D up so there is no gap. - Extension on 5th point: Making the front diffuser bottomplate undertray (code) higher. It creates a bump now on sausages which will be gone soon. Add new team cars
Looking forward Fred, I drive your car 4 times a week now. A friend of mine is willing to help you with the Supra physics, as you know I always loved the real Cayman on track but Christopher has been working with Toyota behind the scenes so he knows a lot stuff.
Hello, i love this car, thanks for that. I have an issue : Rain is black on my windshield with that car. Is it normal ? Here is a screenshot :
That is maybe a bug on the Laguna (conversion)? Probably they have forgotten to use the reflection code on the SCN. On other tracks all is fine? My question to be specific: If you take the Cayman to the S397 official tracks do you have the same? If you have it on the S397 I will investigate this issue. Strange thing is that I have done 3 weeks of rain debugging and have never seen this issue. It's true S397 did update the window shaders, but as far as I know it gives more reflections and looks more like white glass. In V1.1 I will add special shaders to have the old OIL look on PVC windows again. They gave me more work basically
We did have the same Problem with another Track, where our Car (PCC 2007 Conversion) did have black Drops on the Windshield and a S397 Car did have white Drops. I don't know which Settings you use for the Inside Glas. We normally do not activate the Live Mapper for the Cube Map, to avoid unwanted Reflections on the Windshield in Cockpit View. But activating the Live Mapper did solve the Problem for us. Maybe it's the same with your Car? At least using the Live Mapper seems to be mandatory for both Windshield Shaders now, while it worked properly without the Live Mapper, in the Past too.
Do you have a GEN code example? TBH it would surprise me because I followed S397 their tutorial many times and I always do the same on all cars. If I can find it I will fix 6 cars. I never had this dark rain issue.
I'm not sure if i understand what you mean with "a GEN Code Example". What i did, to fix the Problem (Windscreen Inside Shader), was to check the Checkbox (in 3DSMax) "Live Mapper" in the Cube Map Rollout and to enter "REFMAP0" into the Reflection Mapper Dropdown, that is at the main Material Rollout, above of the Setting for the Material Alpha. The Problem is also caused by "bad" set up Tracks, because the Drops only appear black on a few Tracks, like Botniaring, for Example. But because the S397 Cars have white Drops also on these Tracks, i investigated to get it fixed for our Car too.
