Hi, Very intrigued by this comment in latest roadmap "Our car team completed a brand new car that we currently can’t release as its release was planned to coincide with the real car, and that has been delayed." Any idea about wich car just been delayed ? I guess a supercar (or not ). If we have found it then we can deduce which car is coming soon
Perharps: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a30029132/mercedes-amg-one-hypercar-production-2021/ or from canceled Geneva Motor show: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motor-shows-geneva-motor-show/2020-geneva-motor-show-latest-new-cars-–-video Like McLaren 765LT ??
Thanks mate, Two goods idea. Maybe McLaren because S397 already work with. But we must not neglect to differentiate between presentation and release. Marcel seems more likely to speak of an exit for sale (release), right?
The starting point for my thinking is as follows: "The car is ready, but they don't release it until the real one will out". Why are they waiting ? Bringing money rarely waits (it is even the opposite). So they have a contract which stipulates that the virtual car must be revealed at the same time as the real one. A contract, so this car responds to a request from a manufacturer. All of this is part of an advertising communication plan for a worldwide release. And if it's already paid, we can hope this car will be released as a free gift Unlikely to be a racing car (not need publicity), more likely that's a hyper or super-car (and likely with an manufacturer that had already working with S397) .
More than likely it's to coincide with the real cars release so therefore licensing prevents an early release in game.
I really hope it's that, because by the sounds of it we're not getting that RHD version down here in Australia after all...
Toyota Supra GT4, the updated Mercedes GT4, Glickenhaus GT3, all possibilities imo. More so than a Toyota hypercar which would necessitate a hybrid system being made.
Man I hope so, hybrid is so long overdue in rf2 and would "present a unique challenge for the studio" as Marcel said in roadmap...trying not get my my hopes up though
LOL Then we can keep dreaming. Also I think if basic things are still not fixed/ implemented like proper drivetrain and clutch simulation then then at this pace proper hybrid support won't be within few years Edit: but I'd love to be wrong on that and have proper hybrid implementation in rF2
This has nothing to do. It's possible to make a petrol car without proper drivetrain and clutch simulation. And it's possible to make an electric car. Theoretically, it's possible to make a hybrid car without proper drivetrain and clutch simulation.
