You most likely need to do some port forwarding on your router.

You can host a dedicated server from your pc and join it.

Make sure you've opened the relevant ports in your router.

You will probably want to have a working Get Mod button (since default mods are very track restrictive). But currently (in build 134) there are also some issues with this feature (mods with spaces in name don't work and also certain characters, I think "-" is problematic also). So maybe you are better off to start with skippy and then when you get that working, try to create a vmod with the restrictions in mind.

"Im running a server but opened the ports in a different way. I did it like this, and it works

    TCP 54297-54297
    UDP 54297-54297

    TCP 54347-54347
    UDP 54347-54347

For the 'Get mod' feature to work,

    TCP 64297-64297
    UDP 64297-64297

Make sure the Router is pointing to the machine running the Server

    Try it that way."

    http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7910-Hosting-At-wits-end!

In that way also work for me.

i think it works now! :)

i'll just make another vMod to check if the get mod feature works.
