Believe it or not, it's not that hard to learn. It's maybe easier than nordschleife actually because every corner has so unique landscape you remember it. I think after 50-100 laps I remembered most of the track.
Our servers are running Kuato's version. I believe Revival Racing is, also. I was able to join their server without any errors.
Just loaded it up, don't have time to actually drive it but just wanted to say performance really surprised me very well. I had 10 AI cars on track, all visible and FPS seemed about the same, if not better than rf1 targa.
I believe I have the kuato version (it was mediafire link in first post) but how does one get the GUBBA version in order to compare? *Managed to run 14 miles with the 370z, about that time I was wishing some one would make a Tow Mod, cause I sure needed a tow. Guard rails work excellent, the wooden poles are not too bad on suspension but those concrete pillars (these do turn onto their side) are almost a game breaker. Noticed a little flickering in the grill work of the 370z and the brake lights flicker. Ai are pretty good, had some pile ups in a few believable places. In replay my car blew a roadsign down as I past it. One valley that I got crowded off the road and drove off into, I managed to drive out, going up a hill and barely creeping along the top of a ridge that took me by three culverts (now that was some landscape detail!) was a new rF2 experience for me. If this is the kuato version that I have - I could see nothing wrong with the grip. If you haven't got this to run yet? Keep trying, it's worth the effort.
Please do not use extreme force during "face palm". surgeon general claims it is dangerous to one's health
I was pleasantly surprised too actually... I had one or two performance issues with Targa in rf but it runs as sweet as a nut in rf2. Kuato version here.
I will have to try with F3. Good idea. Howstons are ridiculous here b/c you can't get out of first or second gear 95% of the track
Cool. Now all we need is for someone to do Dundrod and the Isle of Mann. Gimmie both of those and I'll die
The best movie line I can come up with right here is Harold & Kumar at the whore house: "Boner achieved" Thanks for releasing this, it's still amazing fun. And it runs great, I'm currently using a 8800GTS 640 cus my 7970 has been in RMA for the past 6weeks and it runs at like 70-80fps at 720p. Mores for instance runs at 1/3 that FPS
I am not sure which version I have, but all I get is a CTD when I try to enter my car. Track seems to load OK. In Mod Manager, a small error box pops-up when you try to look at the properties or do anything with it. I got mine from our favourite German rF2 car and track download site - realsimracerfactory.
I think I see why you are having problems, Marc. Certain tracks can cause the issue you are having with CTD. If you have all of the tracks on the Realsimracerfactory site, you will have issues with CTD when you hit Race. The DTM tracks, Eastern Creek and some others on there are known problematic tracks. It looks like they have added every track released for rF2 without curating the content at all. They have done the same thing with cars too. Some mods like National Stock Car Series and SLF 2009 and that Celica cause this sort of issue as well.
