Hello there, i'm new to the forum.

For a while i wanted to try SweetFX on rFactor and just wasn't able to make it actually work. I wasn't able to make it work properly on my setup. So i went to gather and mix files between old versions and most recent ones, and gathering some information from different parts of the web and here, i was able to finally get it working.

If there's anyone out there wanting to try it out and haven't been successful like i was, here's a download for a zip file i put together with notes.

All credits to Ceejay.dk on creating this awesome plugin. I just happen to be curious enough to put these files together thats all :)

Except the last pic these are not really suitable for splitscreen comparence. But by the looks of it you'll basicly loose detail and get the saturation boosted - not really what rf2 needs :)

Totally agree with you! I don't know much about the aspects of visual editing, mainly i just wanted to take some of the blur away. It would be nice to see some new presets from others. :)

SweetFX is very powerful, but it can also be used very subtly to enhance but keep the same overall look. If anyone has seen the new official SweetFX update from Reiza for GSC, you'll know what i mean. Very subtle, yet very nice.

This.

I just installed that SweetFX package unto GSCE and wow... That's the way to use it!
So subtle, but it makes a world of difference.

I can't get this to work correctly with X64. I followed the readme but when I launch the game I get several popup warning messages. After I click through about 6 or so the game works and so does SweetFX. But why does this happen??

Dont know if it has anything to do with it but i started having multiple dll´s errors similar to this in RF1 (using d3d9.dll) since i upgraded my nvidia driver this week.

The dll-error have something to do with Nvidia's geforce experience, if you uninstall that the errors dissapear.. at least they did for me

Here's the one I use for all 64 bit games. Haven't checked if there's a new verison but this one works fiine for me. :)

I'd like to try this but I see no instructions anywhere. What does the "_MACOSX" folder doing here?

Just skip that..... don't be concerned. Used to get that type of folder included in modifications for phpBB forum scripts. Only for martians to use I think.

Anyone using this with win 8.1 64 bit? I just unwantingly upgraded from 8 and now SweetFX is mad at me.

Thanks! my older version doesn't work but this yes!

My settings and screenshots ON/OFF, it has more contrast, very subtle bloom, a less mid blue and more overall vibrance:
