Hey the Dawg is not bashing for once... he has an actual suggestion! The Disqualification because of headlights. Could we do away with that? I am 1000 percent sure that it has ruined more race than it has helped. I mean how to piss off someone against your product when one gets DQed because the little message that appears in the box that is away from where you're looking when you're racing in close quarter... 10 seconds... BANG! Your gone. It could be just a Drive Through. That would be a lot nicer... a lot less frustrating. The Auto Headlights switch adds a dead step when you try to signal to others. Not a practical solution. Also, I'm not interested in third party products. Thank You. (Was I bashing again? I think I was...ooops!)
In the menus, is a setting for the lights to be automatically turned on. click that. Problem solved. Same for clutch, brake & another one or two that escapes me right now.
The post you've quoted mentions the Automatic option already. @MotherDawg that's not rF2 bashing. This has been a thing (and complaint/suggestion) since rF1 in 2006. (I'd say 2005, but I didn't have it then) With the modern focus on endurance racing and its prevalence of headlight flashing, the lack of an integrated flash control is just added to it.
That's a good idea but, I run in someone else's league... I decide SFA. Hey Dave! Like LAZZA said, in the eighth text line of my post I went: " The Auto Headlights switch adds a dead step when you try to signal to others. Not a practical solution. " Ooooh! AaaaH! LAZZA tha Man! It would be so nice to have an "integrated flash control". --- Two things I need to add here. 1- In leagues, we would end up with a bunch of guy driving around with no lights in the middle of the night. 2- In normal time compression, there is more than one alarm. But when time compression is used, like a few weeks ago at CMS Racing, we had the 1.2 hours of Sebring. 10 X time compression. The message pops up... 10 seconds... you're history. By 1:26:30, the ambient light has begun to fade... from then on it happens in a few laps.
Oh yeah, my suggestion is only for offline, that´s how I got rid of this. It would be nice to have a full yellow like center blinking warning, as it´s a race ending requirement.
