hold on mate cause i think something happens to my computer i cannot change the performance to high performance on power settings might be my problem i ll report soon
ok problem solved phew what happened ? i did a new windows install 2 days ago and i was so sure that after installation i went at the power settings and enable high performance mode when i checked a few minutes ago it was on power saver ....no comments i enable high performance and also disable some windows task running at the background Privacy>Background tasks disable all that running in there i also installed a program called Cpu Core parking manager 3 which i was using before install problem solved and now purple bar in game is lower than half
User: "I'm having an issue" Tech: "Ok, what's changed on your computer recently?" User: "Nothing, I just updated your software and now it's not right" Tech: "Well something must have changed, we didn't do anything different" User: "No, the only difference is your update" Tech: "Well...." User: "Hey, good news, I found it. It was my windows reinstall!" This happens so often it's amazing. No offense mesfigas
I didn't even know that "high performance" setting existed. Mine was at "balanced" by default so i changed it. I couldn't race in the ripped Spa track by SJ before because (as many other people) I was having heavy stuttering at the start-finish line and my CPU was maxed. Tested it now and had no more stuttering and CPU at around 75% with 30 AI opponents I also did a fresh install of the game a couple of days ago (unrelated) so maybe it was a combination of both things that helped but either way, that was a great tip @mesfigas
@Lazza i was tricked. i looked at the green and purple bars accidentally and while my fps was high 80-90 fps my game was stuttering also i found some topics on the internet about high fps and stutter and finally understood that it was a CPU setting but before do all these steps (1.high performance from power settings-2.disable background programs from Privacy>backgound apps 3.CPU core parking manager 3 installation and setup) couldnt really tell whats happening. add to this that i was sure that i had set power settings allready correct
Strange. In die a few laps in lrp and it wasn't smooth anymore. I also had a serious performance drop at the jump. From 60fps to 28. Never had that before. I noticed every time I launch rF2 I have to choose the right graphic card.
1.Load a track and a car combination that used to work without problem 2.Go to race with other cars and hit "control+C" 3.A small box will appear at top right corner of your screen showing a Purple bar and a Green bar. 4.Race one lap maximum and tell me if the green Bar goes full !!!! 5.also look at your frame rate at same time if your frame rate is high like 50-60 fps but your Green bar goes high then its your CPU causes stuttering try this and report i have a tip EDIT:4.Race one lap maximum and tell me if the "PURPLE" Bar goes full !!!!.
You should mean the purple bar, not the green. Unless I'm missing something. On screens (not VR) it's normal for that green bar to be full.
@Lazza you are correct @Nitrometh look at purple bar if increasing to max during race not the Green bar
My primary card ist the gtx 680 4GB. Green bar is about 50-75% to the max. Purple in any conditions <<50% to max. But sometimes I suffer a slow motion replay now. Purple bar is maxed then. Never had this before. But it's just with karting tracks. So it isn't a big thing.
