Hello, I’m stupid and most of the time I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ve been encountering many problems that I have no idea how to solve. Most recently the frame rate. The first outlap and flying lap is pretty smooth but after that it gets more and more laggy. It evens gets to another different problem where the speedometer is reading a number (let’s say 160) but the car is going very very slow and definitely not that speed. The car will also handle like it is going that speed and when you are going around a corner, you think you are going slower and an optimal speed, but the car will just skrrt off.
    Video settings:

    Resolution: 1920 x 1080

    Anti Aliasing: Level 1

    Refresh Rate: 60Hz

    Sync: None

    Post Effects: None

    FXAA: Off

sorry if I made you cringe because I’m so nooby

Post your specs and GPU and it's easier to narrow the issue down, I see you posted some specs in the input lag thread but you didn't mention GPU model.

Slow motion car sounds like a CPU issue. Judging by your GPU I'd say both are probably too slow.

Just checked the card specs, you're probably correct...

It’s kind of both. I do get some micro freezes or stuttering or whatever, and I get the slow motion. A little while ago, I had the same problem and found a thread in steam discussing the slow motion. They said it was mostly a CPU type error and was solved by clicking “Force 32-bit” box in settings. I did this and it worked, but now it just gives an error message when it’s done loading the track

    Try

    post process OFF
    AA level 1
    Full HD

Circuit detail, texture detail, car detail : MEDIUM
opponent detail : LOW and visible opponent : 6
    Anisotropic X4
Shadows : HIGH ( low and medium there are no circuit shadows on the Nordschliefe)
    Environment reflection : LOW (optionnal)
    EVERY THING ELSE : OFF

    Time scale : OFF (CPU-shadows)
Privilegiate : between 11:00 AM and 13:AM + max 15 AI + avoid rain. Weather without clouds can help.

    edit
    anisotropic X4
auto detail FPS : 60 for 60 hz screen etc

I have the same gpu and 16 gb ram.
    Good news: it is playable.
    Bad news: with huge compromises.

Forget about rain, night, sunsets, dawns. That gpu is too weak for that stuff, only 100% dry weather, zero clouds, broad daylight.

For a smooth stutter-free experience I tried everything, from RivaTuner to calculating and limiting fps with 3 decimal point precision etc. None of that worked perfectly, only thing that gives total smoothness for me regardless of fps is VSync and downgrading resolution to 1440*900. At first it looks blurry on that res but now I even don't notice it and I never got used to stutters.

Even with all those settings and lower res I get occasional stutters and fps drops below 60 with many cars around on Nordschleife and few mod tracks. How much of that is gpu and how much cpu I don't know.

From memory: post process off, AA level 3 (best performance/quality value), in game almost everything to off except shadows low (I can't stand hovering cars).
It is important to set Rain drops off, even on sunny weather it gives huge fps boost.
    Cca 10 visible AI.

In NVidia Control Panel also setting many stuff for performance.

When and if I find time I'll post my exact settings.

Yeah, nothing seems to be working, it won’t let me change my resolution either. Guess I’ll just have to play with the keyboard again lol
