Cannot access game. Game starts. Select: Single Player. Select: Car & Track. Select: Race. Game returns to Select: Single Player.....loop continues.
Do you think that it makes sense to open the same thread a 2nd time and then to ignore the first one, where someone tried to help already?
Maybe you have to set your profile settings in that way, that you get an alert if someone replies to your thread. And the alert includes the link too. The alert shows up in the top right area of the site, when you are logged in. And now to the topic. Please upload a trace file. Here you can see what you have to do, to let the game create one. https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/how-to-create-a-trace-file.62304/ English is not my native language, so i needed a moment to understand what you mean and you are right.
In the opening post you have said that you can select a car and a track and click race, before the game crashes. If that is correct, a trace file was written, if you have set it up properly. Have you checked this thread and made what is shown there, before you started the game? If yes, check the folder ..\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Log There you should find the trace file. If not, do what is shown in the thread.
@maddawg As a first try, remove the trackmap plugin from the rfactor 2 installation and try it again. And please use an original S397 car and track, that don't uses any skin pack or not original update. If that also don't works, before you start the game, rename the folder ..\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData into UserData_Backup for example. Then start the game and select an original car and track. Does that help?
Trackmap plugin doesn't work. It will crash the game. Remove/move/delete your Bin32, Bin64, and Userdata folders. Verify rF2 files in steam. Try again. @maddawg edit: One of TrackMap's supporting files is d3d9.dll. I think that lives in one (or both) of the Bin folders, but check in the main folder just in case. Note that TrackMap, DeltaBest, and all other drawing-to-screen plugins haven't worked in rF2 for 2-3 years.
