Thanks for the input guys. @vegaguy5555 I can't take credit for the sounds they are actually the exterior engine sounds from the 2015 cup mod. @ctbr They drive good on road courses to ;)

Maybe in the future, it isn't something that was done back then, but I understand why you want it. To be honest it isn't something I have done before so I would have to look into it to see whats all involved. I don't have any plans for an update until we get closer to the DX11 release.
 
there would be a couple of small stickers, but nothing like even the front fender of current cars in the various Nascar series. I think it was Richard Petty and STP that broke the taboo against large sponsor logos and multicolored paintjobs. I think a Purple and Gold two tone was about as wild as things got back then. Of course the Wood Brothers had their white Fords with ....(memory failing) ... Red hoods(bonnets)

  • Adjusted chrome levels of interior parts
  • Changed interior windshield texture and shader. Added subtle fake reflection
  • Added updated paint/liveries for 1971 #43, 1971 #99, and 1972 #21
  • Updated onboard cameras
  • Updated all assets to be DX11 compliant

Physics
  • Added weight
  • Adjusted tires for added weight
  • Added a heavy load tire for tracks like Bristol
  • Updated default setups and supported track list
 
Tremendous work on this mod! Love racing 'em at Joesville. That begs the question: what other tracks are recommended for this mod? I know of all modern oval circuits available, but are there any vintage editions hiding somewhere?

Thanks, unfortunately no. The only one that I know of would be Texas World Speedway, but it hasn't been updated in a very long time.

Short answer, yes. Long answer, I have been preoccupied with a track conversion and I kinda want to wait to see what happens with DX11 and the new shaders. I want to make the LOD's still. There is currently a typo that needs fixing in the talent files that is causing all of the drivers to basically drive the same. I also want to adjust the brakes and how the brakes build and loose temperature. Some people have asked for louder sounds so I will probably take a look at that as well.
 
Any news with this mod ?, would love to see the 73' year done, the last year they could run with the big engines, we'd have 71' 72' & 73' , awesome years in NASCAR
 
Interesting the way a Sim-racer's mind works. We already have 71 & 72 so 73(with virtually the same package) would be awesome!
or
we have track x set in 1999, but in 2000 the billboards changed so we MUST update that track.
or
Nobody ever races these(insert obscure series here) cars but that is exactly why we need them!

I am still working on a track conversion. Haven't had the time to update this mod yet. Sorry no plans for a 1973 season at the moment.
