43 HUMAN cars... if you don't have a dinosaur it shouldn't be tragic (given if you are willing to lower some settings if needed). 43 AI... might melt few processors lower than high-end stuff. Ofc just guessing here. Might be less of an issue than expected. Some progress on could be done recently and I'm just spreading panic? My 4690K (not OCed yet) can handle 25 AI with max settings with very decent fps, don't know how would that be with 43. Might check later just out of curiosity.
It's the RAM it will eat up... I am hoping to have an upgrade sooner than later to accomodate 43 cars (with body parts and smoke )
