Steering keeps breaking

Hi guys, I’m about a year long LMU player and just branched into rFactor2 for some more casual play and I love it. Only thing I don’t love is my steering keeps breaking! I use either my R9 or R12 from MOZA and SimLabs XP1 pedals. On top of that I run an HF8 haptic feedback system and while using rfactor. I have SimHub and Crew Chief running in the back ground. I had thought maybe Moza Pit-house could’ve been causing the issue but I just had it again with it closed.
So basically, I’ll load up and the steering just doesn’t work right. FFB feels messed up, steering angle is messed up, and the in game inputs are just all over the place relative to my actual wheel. Steam input is disabled, I’ve removed the JSON files from the game folder and it doesn’t fix it. Only thing that fixes it is an uninstall on steam, delete the rFactor2 folder from common, and re-install.
I can’t seem to figure out what’s triggering it, it’ll work for a day or two then break again, very frustrating not being able to nail down what it might be. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I serve a valuable purpose, I ask the obvious questions so the smart guys can ask the better ones.
so, here goes.
Have you assigned and calibrated and SAVED a profile for this wheel? If there is a Moza profile already available, go through the entire process of re-assigning everything and then save it with a UNIQUE NAME. don't overwrite the original. So Moza1, or Moza_BTCC. etc etc. Unlike LMU, you can create and save an infinite number of wheel profiles so you can have unique assignments/calibrations for each car in rF2.

I'm not on my gaming PC so I can't grab screen shots. But are you running the automatic steering ratio or have it fixed?

I found on my Fanatec setup, that if I do a new setup or install, it seems to take a long time for me to get the automatic ratio working right. I don't remember exactly what I do to get it working. Once it works, I'm usually pretty good. But I've been running a fixed ratio for a while and things seem to work well.

It could be something else to try.
