Steam VR not recognising/ Detecing Oculus rift CV!

Hi Everyone,

I put out a post in mid October about the same issue, After updating everything I still have no joy.
I use Windows 10 with an Intel I7 4770K along with an NVIDA GEFORCE GTX1080 graphics Card.
Ive tried multiple times in the "room set up" function and it says the "oculus headset is off" when I have it running in the background, further more I get a warning on steam " SteamVR failed to instalise due to unknown reasons (Error:Shared IPC compositor connect Failed (306))

All advise would be greatly appreciated

If you google "Shared IPC compositor connect Failed (306)" there are LOTS of hits, and it has nothing to do with rFactor2, try this...

Ive found that installing older driver helps (from what im gathering)
