Welcome to the SRP Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season 3

    1. Calendar for the Series

    View attachment 17154

Pre-season series (you must complete at least 3 events to be accepted into the league):

    1. Montréal 02.08. (Sprint)
    2. Laguna Seca 09.08. (Endurance)
    3. Orchard Lake 16.08. (Sprint)
    4. Sebring 23.08. (Endurance)
    5. Toban Raceway 30.08. (Sprint)
    6. Long Beach 06.09. (Endurance)

The main reason for this series of single events before of the championship is to get know each other and give the race direction an overview of racing standards of each driver according the PMSC rules. Also, the race formats can be tested and possible problems can be solved.

PMSC Season 3 test races (part of championship, only for drivers who signed up):

    1. Hockenheim 13.09. (Sprint)
    2. Monza 20.09. (Sprint)
    3. Suzuka 27.09. (Endurance)

    PMSC Season 3 championship:

    R1 Istanbul Park 11.10.
    R2 Magny Cours 25.10.
    R3 Spa Franchorchamps 08.11.
    R4 Barbagallo 22.11.
    R5 Imola 06.12.
    R6 Le Mans '91 20.12.
    R7 Sanoma Raceway 03.01.
    R8 Nürburgring Nordschleife 17.01.

orange - Endurance Event (1 race of at least 60 min)
green - Sprint event (2 races of about 25 min each)

    2. Participants

Pre-season series: The series is seen as single events. Drivers who are interested in joining the league can drive in these events without commitment to be there for every round. Drivers who complete at least 3 events have priority entry into the league. Exceptions may only made by the race direction. You must sign up for every event in which you want to participate in the specific thread for that race. Points will handed out each round according the number of participants. This means for example, 15 cars on track, then the winner will earn 15 points, last place 1 point. Zero points for a DNF.

PMSC Season 3 test races: You must sign up for the league. The race direction may hand out wild cards to drivers who did not qualify but are trusted drivers. Note: drivers who have completed 3 pre-races and showed clean, respectful driving are given priority entry to the league.

PMSC Season 3 championship: Only drivers who signed up and are confirmed by race direction are allowed to race. To get confirmation you must have demonstrated the required driving standards in the pre-season series or test races and you must have sent your car skin to the race direction before the deadline for skin submissions. If you do not wish to create your own skin, you will use a stock SRP skin.

    3. Registration

To register for the league, you can sign up as an individual driver or as a two-man team. Use the Sign Up thread for that in this format:

Driver: (single drivers are taken secondary into the league)
Start number: (allowed car numbers are from #2 to #99)
    nation:

Team: (Teams are taken primary into the league)
    Driver 1 with number:
    nation:
    Driver 2 with number:
    nation:

    4. Commitment to participate

If you sign up, we assume that you do so with the intention to take part in all league events. Test races are not excluded from this. If you are not able to take part in least at 7 of 11 events (league + test races), don't sign up.

    6. Event

Training and qualification: All signed up drivers must set a valid time on our race servers until at least 1 day before the event day. This time must be within 107% of the fastest time. If this is not the case, but the driver in question showed the skill to drive safe and consistent laps, then race direction can give a wild card to this driver for the event. Otherwise the driver is not allowed to take part.
This shows the race direction that every driver is prepared for the specific event. This rule applies to all rounds of the championship, including the 3 test races.

An event contains training sessions, qualifying, warm-up and races in the following format:

    Sprint:

    Training 1: 15 min
Training 2: 10 min (Top 10 from training 1 allowed to take part)
Qualifying: 5 min (Top 5 from training 2 allowed to take part)
    Warm Up: 5 min

    Race 1 – standing start: 25min
↑ NO pit stop required ↑

Race 2* – standing start: 25min (with P1-P10 in reverse order)
↑ * ONE pit stop is mandatory with at least two wheels changed. ↑

    Endurance:

    Training 1: 15 min
Training 2: 10 min (Top 10 from training 1 allowed to take part)
Qualifying: 5 min (Top 5 from training 2 allowed to take part)
    Warm Up: 5 min

Race 1 – standing start: about 85min, at least 60 min.

    7. Championship classification

All participants starting the race will be classified in accordance with the number of laps of the circuit completed, providing that they have completed at least 75% of the distance covered by the winner.

    2 points for pole position

All the results of the individual classification rounds are taken into account for the rankings at the end of the season. The worst result from every driver will be dropped in the driver championship, but team standings will have all results included. The winner of the SRP Porsche Mobil 1 SuperCup season 3 is the driver with the highest total number of points from all the classification rounds.

In addition to overall ranking in the drivers' and in the teams' championships, there will be rankings for:
    Sprint races
    Endurance races
    Superpole award
    8. Protest and appeals

Protests regarding any session of the event must be given at least 1 week after the event at the latest. After that period any unofficial result will become official and will not be changed again.

    Amendment

    - Drivers are prohibited from changing teams during the season to prevent any possible advantage. If a driver decides to leave his team, he would become a single driver for the rest of the season.
    - If one driver of a team decides to quit, that team may recruit one of the single drivers already competing, or an SRP licensed driver who is not signed up to the league to take over that seat, but no already existing points from the single driver can taken over.
