(Www.SimRacers4Life.com) Wednesday Night Fun races are still running… We’re currently running Spec Miatas (MX5s) cars at Knockhill - famous for its BTCC battles Every Wednesday Night, SR4L holds short, sharp fun races from 7:30 PM (UK Time) until around 9PM The races are kept to approximately 10 minutes length so that if you make a mistake, you don't need to wait too long for another go. Note - times are current UK. Gather for 7:00PM UK, 8:00CEST - qualy commences at 7:30PM BST, 8:30 CEST and racing continues until approx. 9:00PM BST, 10:00PM CEST There is only one qualy session (held for 10 minutes at 7:30PM) - thereafter starting grids are set by reverse finishing positions from the previous race. Very shortly after each race finishes, the server will be reset and the session advanced to Warmup where the grid will be set. If everyone is ready to go, we switch straight to race to pack in the action. If you are unhappy with starting at the front of the grid (perhaps you are slow off the line) then shout during warmup and we can put you further back. If you miss the first qualy, just wait for the next race - you'll start at the back of the grid for your first race. To further promote the 'drop in' fun-race nature of these events, the vehicle chosen will normally be used for a number of consecutive weeks so that you're not constantly having to learn new cars. Tracks change every week and are usually announced and loaded on Fridays. Details of car and track (and relevant download links) can be found in our forum (follow Main Site link below). Good question. We’re just setting up a (non-Caterham) midweek championship for later this year and we’ve been having a debate as to which is the least-worst day - none are perfect. Tuesdays are a possibility. For us, the issues is that we have Sunday leagues with a wide geographic entry (from the Americas to Continental Europe) and so a Wednesday night for our ‘fun’ races spreads the social pressure…
Nice turnout this week at New Jersey… Wednesday 21st will be at Bikernieki (don’t be put off if you’ve never heard of it!) - link to track in Workshop in 1st post. This might be the last Caterham race for a couple of weeks as we might be running a pre-season test event with different vehicles for an upcoming Autumn/Fall Sprint League Series on the 28th. Great to see you last night. We will *not* be running a normal Wednesday Fun Race evening next week (28th) as we will be holding a test event for an upcoming midweek league starting in October. Everyone will be welcome to join the test event though but we won’t be in the Caterhams and there will be one 15 minute and one 30 minute race in place of the usual quick-fire 10 minute races we are used to. We’ll probably be back in the Caterhams for the first two weeks of October and then we’ll be into the weekly league for the 8 consecutive weeks from the 19th. (There’ll also be a Sunday night league over the same 8 week period - running the same cars - but tracks in a different order).…
While MileSeven is on holiday I will be looking after you all on Wednesday night for our reverse grid fun races, This time at :- Valencia Street Circuit The track has recently had a graphics face lift with IBL/PBR Shader/Material and looks amazing. It's a long track, so I'm thinking 3 laps a race is good to try keep them under 10 minutes. See first post for full details. DJC

Tonight’s race is at the S397 Zandvoort track - the National (short!) layout - turn right after left-handed speed bowl! Don’t plough on up the hill!
Jan 11th is at Knockhill Tyre wear has been turned off as it can be excessive with the Miata and we just want to have fun on a Wednesday! 10 lap races this week.
